@xX_MOBIUS1_Xx There are other games that aren't turned based - instead of being all happy and insisting that a game that never was turned based become one, its a very simple matter to play those games which were built upon that feature in the first place. Just because some people don't like turned based battling doesn't warrant that one specific game should change it! Why not just make some other game without it and you people who don't like it play that game instead???

@soulfulDAGGER Wow, I played and love every one of those games you mentioned - I miss the days of great RPGs. Its so simple to re-create those epics while upgrading graphics, I have no idea why Square keeps going overboard with every game when it's not necessary.

@RPG_Geek107 @magusat999 Oh and don't forget the other franchise they pulled this crap of - Chrono Trigger. They took another game called "Radical Dreamers", spiffed it up a bit and called it Chrono Cross, putting references to the Chrono trigger gang in it, and having them appear at one point as ghost kids. Chrono Cross was not a bad game - but they knew people were foaming at the mouth for a true sequel and almost mockingly delivered that contrived fake instead. Square has a long standing history of not giving a s**t what it's buyers want or care about, and a reliance on idolizing personalities in their offices instead of listening to the purchasing consensus. That's why they let that guy from Final Fantasy tactics not only take over Final Fantasy production - but allowed him to crap all over it and make it something unrecognizable - idolatry, IMHO...

@RPG_Geek107 @magusat999 They already did that - the games were called Crisis Core and Derge of Cerebus. notice they respected the franchise when they made those games by giving them a different name? That's fine - but what they are doing here is replacing Final Fantasy completely with another type of game, which is unforgivable and wrong no matter how good the actual game turns out to be.

@ejay_kain I remember they pulled the same crap with Dragon Quest IX - it was supposed to be the last Dragon Quest on the PS2, announced it and everything - and then they pulled it. They have no clue.

@Tseng @Bloodseeker23 Yeah - I wonder who these people are listenig to. RPG gamers are always stating that they don't mind turned based play - but instead of just making turned based play more exciting they keep trying to get rid of it. I remember playing Lost Oddessy, for example - the turned based play had some very nice tweaks to it - never got boring. The old game legend of Legaia had turned based play - but they spiffed it up with increasingly long and upgrade-able combos. Square keeps crapping on TB play instead of using creativity to make it better. One of the things it had going for it were the summons animations - they took that away. They capped damage, they removed "random encounters", they chipped away at the battle system to the point that it's unrecognizable - and now they want to get rid of the party system and make it an action game? Ridiculous! They are really lost.

@Oil_Rope_Bombs @SpencerPenfold Because it's too radical of a change. So they screwed up with one Final Fantasy game - that doesn't mean change it into an action game! And FFXIII didn't fail because of the battle system, the party system or the reward system. It didn't fail because it was a JRPG, it failed because it was too linear. All they had to do was fix the linearity, FF fans love the games the way they were - they always cite FFVII as the gold standard. Does FFVII play like this? NO - and that's call for revolt.

@Nightrunner0007 @alien33 Its not what game people use as a reference that's important - the point is that this is an action game, and Final Fantasy is supposed to be an RPG.

@Shishio817 Yeah - they should have called it Crisis Core 2 instead of Final Fantasy XV.
