CIG making a single player and an MMO which seems to be to most complex of all so far, while building up the teams/studios from zero.

Yup it was pushed back 'cause the scope changed...the scope changed 'cause the backers voted for it.

Realistically SC should take about 7-8 years to finish considering they started from zero, and they are creating a new IP with lots of new tech. I'd say if they can get close to beta by 2019 then they are not doing bad, about on par with other game developments.
