Shenmue 3 is ending the series? I don't remember Yu-san ever saying that. The story he had drafted all those years ago covered like 16 chapters and to the best of my knowledge 1-2 only covered up to chapter 4. The story he has left to cover is way too vast for one game.

@maitkarro: I've gotten every press release from Yu since the game was announced and not once did he ever say Sony was helping fund the game. Gamestop's journalists obviously took his quote in the interview out of context, because he already specified where Sony's money is going.

Oh my god, could you please shut the **** up if you don't know anything about the game's financial situation? Sony isn't funding the game - they helped with marketing. THAT'S IT. Yu needs at least 10 million to make the true Shenmue experience he wanted - he's been vocal about that since the beginning, so of course he needs more money. Please stop spreading misinformation and accusing Yu of being greedy - you're only hurting the game's chances of being the best it can possibly be by disuading people who were on the fence from donating.
