@conkertheking1: Worth it. I honestly didn't expect this TV to be so.... big. It's absolutely perfect for my viewing distance, and with the built in surround sound it's like playing retro games in a movie theater.
The TV is new. It's a 32 inch Sony Triniton WEGA model KV-32FS210
I knew Triniton's were the best and I've been looking for one for over a year but I had NO idea how great this one actually would be, from the viewing distance. With the huge screen and built in surround sound, it's like playing retro games in a movie theater.
@nyadc: I'll say. I've been searching for a Trintion for over a year now to no avail.. the likelihood of finding like, the EXACT model that's better than all the rest is the equivalent of finding big foot where I live. The differences between this particular one and like, the best of the best is pretty minimal right?
My dad just got it for free off Kijiji. Bringing it home on tuesday. https://esupport.sony.com/CA/p/model-home.pl?mdl=KV32FS210
I heard the Sony Triniton's are the absolute best TVs for retro gaming, I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with this particular model. The one I'm currently using is a JVC AV-20F476 if that's useful in telling me which tv is objectively better.
@xantufrog: I'm really sorry dude, I wasn't trying to break any rules - I just assumed that burning DC games didn't classify as "piracy" in the same sense as other consoles since you really can't buy any "exclusive" games on the console from Sega anymore, such as Shenmue - which was the game in question I was burning, unlike say.. the SNES like you mentioned, which has games Nintendo's still selling to this very day on their eshop. My mistake completely, and it won't happen again.
With that being said, I don't collect music CD's - but I did still have the OST CD for Super Smash Bros from the Club Nintendo promotion, so I used that and it worked perfectly. I assume there's no issues with the console itself so I'm just gonna wait till my legitimate copy of Shenmue arrives and try it then.
@raugutcon: It's the only thing I can currently use to see if my Dreamcast works. I'm trying to see if it's a problem with the system or whether it simply can't play burnt games. I fail to see the issue in that.
