Did i see a AN-94? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS! I love the AN-94!

It's overpowered, that's why you like it.

both AN94 and M60 have been nerfed since last year.

The fun that I had shooting aliens in DNF (the only fun I had on the game was shooting) is enough to give a 6 on my conception. And the graphics on PC get the job done, they are a little dated and inconsistent (some levels looks great, others ok and others plain bad) but nothing game breaker. The problem for me was more gameplay related, as I stated before.

an 6.0 overall is fair. Its not about protecting an IP or anything, don't know where you get that from.

Honestly there are far better games that have scored around a six that are much more deserving than Dook, that that's the way you feel fair enough. Otherwise keep this in mind, if this game wasn't Duke Nukem I'm sure absolutely no one would have raised an eyebrow of it, and disregarded it as another poor shooter with a fractured identity and functionality.

But most people treated the game as poor shooter. DUke wasn't enough to save the game, even from duke fans itself. Of course there's fanboys, but every franchise has them.

And don't think its DNF a bad SHOOTER on the literally sense, but its bad on everything else. And I agree about the identity. The game don't have any. The developers tried to implement everything that happened on fps scene on the last 15 years on mix bag of confusion, bad design and overall lack of polish.

The gamespot review on DNF went too far. The game do not deserve a 3.0 (at least on the PC version).

I would give it a 6.0.

The IGN review on DNF was fair to me, overall.

The reviewe pointed that the shooting on the game is fun (it is), but everything else sucks, and it indeed does. If the duke were a straightfoward shooter without shrunk duke parts, driving and stupid turret sections, would be a way better experience. And the barrel puzzles were totaly unnecesary.

We should be forgiving to a game that botches its core mechanics and litters itself with derivative crap and woeful variety? Hell no, especially the idea of making 'concessions' for a noteable IP. I'd just like to see other IPs be treated as harshly, then brushing over and forgiving flaws despite their weight.

PGR definitely, they're just fantastic games, damn shame about BC .

Snugenz

yes.

blame activison for that...

BC should have sticked with MS. Microsoft owns the PGR brand and probably won't use anymore. And if it uses, will be with other development team.

Farewell to PGR and Midnight Club series.

Well T10 could pick up the franchise and i'd imagine they'd do a great job with it, but BC had magic that i doubt could be completely replaced.

I love all PGR games but my favorite one is the PGR 2. Used to play a lot with a friend on his xbox. I did 100% on my profile. Was a lot satisfying, indeed a magical game like no other racing game i've seen. The only negative thing of PGR 2 is the lack of lamborghinis! Apart from that, everything was perfect! PGR 3 Featured lambos, I wonder why the second didn't.

The RC part of the DNF campaign was the most stupid thing I've ever seen in a first person shooter. They abused this shrunk duke thing. That was major let down for me.

Altought I liked the shoot mechanics and weapons of the game. I wish it was only about that, not stupid shrunk duke, puzzles, barrels, dull driving and turret sections.

[QUOTE="Heil68"]"Simulation games can be too hard for some players. "Forza Motorsport 3" rises above the distinction between simulation and arcade games " Not a true sim game.Heil68

GT and Forza both fall under this semi-sim genre. It's "sim enough for most people to think of it as such". PC has real sims, I'm not saying this in the sense of PC elitism, I'm saying it because its true. GT and Forza have enough tweaking that car fans can enjoy it, but there are way more options you can tweak in real sims.

Yup, PC is where the true sims are and where the big boys go to play. :P

Race Pro from the xbox360 actually got excelent physcis. But the graphics were not very well received so it harmed the game sucess.

I think Race Pro is very underrated, and sincerly the graphics do not look bad as lot of people claims.

F-Zero.

Followed by Midnight Club.

I like F-Zero's speed and difficulty, Midnight Club for it's "open" sort of tracks and great sense of speed.

siLVURcross

totally forgot about midnight club.

Unfortunately there was a massive layoff ocurred on Rockstar San Diego, basically the whole midnight club team left the company. Sadly, Los Angeles was the last one of the franchise.

Noooooo D: Never gonna see another MC then :(

not from the same team, at least. The Rockstar matrix owns the game.
