[QUOTE="AtariKidX"]Forza is the best imo.Heil68

Did you happen to notice the category of racers being asked about? Or are you trying to imply something here?

Considering the developers consider Forza not a true sim, I think he has a very valid point and should be included in the poll Since it's not I personally would pick Need For Speed from the TC's list.

The point is that both GT5 e Forza 4 have way more realistic physics than any other game mentioned on the thread. Only games like GTR series, Rfactor, Iracing and Live for Speed that are more realistic. Neither of those games are relevant on the thread.

Forza, GT and the likes were not included because it supposed to be a Arcade Racing discussion. I won't go deep on the physics acurracy of both games, but they're sim oriented so therefore not included.

F-Zero.

Followed by Midnight Club.

I like F-Zero's speed and difficulty, Midnight Club for it's "open" sort of tracks and great sense of speed.

siLVURcross

totally forgot about midnight club.

Unfortunately there was a massive layoff ocurred on Rockstar San Diego, basically the whole midnight club team left the company. Sadly, Los Angeles was the last one of the franchise.

I would solely because of raven software involvment on the mp part. But since IW is also involved, and the game won't have deds on PC, i'll pass this.

Phoenix534

The server situation hasn't been decided yet. And if you don't like IW, well then you'll probably like this more than their other games since IW is dead.

if the game feats deads and the mp is better balanced than blops or MW2, I might give it a go.. but i'll wait at least 1 month to see the feedback. MW2 overall was nice but the iwnet and uterly unbalanced gameplay (tubes, commando) broke the experience.

I realy like RAVEN, I wish we could get a new Soldier Of Fortune game,

Arcade racing died after NFS2SE. It was the last great arcade racing title I played.

Burnout 3 takedown? that was just immense, i thought the genre was a bit flat before that came along and shove a rocket up its crapper.Wouldnt mind a new Road Rash with Criterion heading it tbh.

Burnout 3 was a masterpiece. I have Burnout Paradise, but I think its overall a frustrating game and doesn't have the fun factor that Burnout 3 and revenge featured.

Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 (PS2 version only, pc and xbox versions were crap) were worthy sequels.

I tried to put all the relevant and contemporary ones, unfortunatley couldn't put more. So, feel free to add more franchises into the discussion.

I choose PGR. The game series always featured a good balance between arcade/sim, with an a varied rooster of cars of lots of diferent decades and makers (something that a NFS game hardly does) and interesting tracks based on street locations. The game always have been straight to the point racing, with an satyisfing kudos system and solid online play.

The gamespot review on DNF went too far. The game do not deserve a 3.0 (at least on the PC version).

I would give it a 6.0.

The IGN review on DNF was fair to me, overall.

The reviewe pointed that the shooting on the game is fun (it is), but everything else sucks, and it indeed does. If the duke were a straightfoward shooter without shrunk duke parts, driving and stupid turret sections, would be a way better experience. And the barrel puzzles were totaly unnecesary.
