Well, at least that's one Kinect game that got me interested. Child of Eden looks to be another feeling of ecstasy like Rez. Loved Rez, in fact I just bought Rez HD on XBLA.

And whoa, Ghost Recon Future Soldier plays more like Splinter Cell than Splinter Cell Conviction. :P Damn, I want that for the next SC game!

I had a feeling it was real, the artwork pretty much proved it to begin with. Oh, and Spirit, don't you delete your posts! :P

That shows that some actions are traditional action games attacks, so they are mapped to buttons. I wonder how the free slash comes into play.dvader654

Possibly by activating a bumper or analog click and from the looks of it, then using the right analog stick to direct the cutting. Actually, maybe the right analog if the camera should need to be moved.
I just realized that Rare didn't have anything to show at the conference at all. I'm guessing Killer Instict 3 was just a false rumor. Sad to see that this company has fallen from grace so badly.

QuistisTrepe_

I don't see why the name even exists anymore. All the talent from Rare is long gone.

Nah, it's just gone the limit.

Yeah, this was quite the disappointment. Other than the slightly neat new 360, well... it stunk with the same scent of Wii casualness and it's own brand of weirdness.

I just finished it and...wow. I have to admit I'm a bit taken aback. It's definitely one of the most impactful endings, well, ever.

UpInFlames
You sure you finished it?
The actual ending? Because when I thought I "finished" it, it took me a bit of time when I realized there was more

The problem runs deeper than just a 2D/3D issue. MK has a single good game in its entire history - one good game in a history spanning 18 years and numerous iterations. Going back to 2D gives it a fighting chance, sure, but unless Ed Boon kicks his laziness aside and actually tries to make another UMK3, we're stuck with an MK2 or MK3, something that simply can't stand up with the great fighting games of our time.outworld222
Your analysis is dead wrong, I am sorry to say. Its backwards. All the other Japanese games look clunky and unrealistic. I mean, dragon balls??? Virtual Fighter??? Common, get real. BTW, MK2 and MK3 were great games. If they replicate something like this, but in context of our time, this is the most anyone can wish for. Oh, and Ed boon, believe me he's not lazy. He can program loops around any programmer. He's just that factually good.

Saying Virtua Fighter, one of the most technical and highly praised fighting games series, is clunky and unrealistic when comparing it to... of all games, Mortal Kombat? Yeah, good one.

MK2 and MK3 doesn't stand the test of time anymore. DC was pointing out if that's the base for the new game, it won't stand well at all. UMK3 is still the best MK game to this day (and personally one my favorites). Hell, even with all the flak it gets, MK vs DC is the only runner up and as near close to be taken as a serious fighting game in the MK series.

Hmm, I see a pattern here. Devils Third looks like Wet, Killzone 3 looks like Lost Planet and Bulletstorm looks like every other generic FPS out there.

On the other hand, Super Scribblenauts has a damn flying cow wielding a sword and stacked pandas on a bicycle.

Its called Devil's Third

dvader654

Awesome, Kotaku's got the video up now.

Crazy, over the top action/shooter with a bit of cleavage for good measure? Seems like an Itagaki game alright with Western touches. Though it reminds me of Wet.
