Do you people stop and think why would they would go with flash memory in the first place?
32GB SD card - $20
250GB HDD - $35
Nintendo may be cheap, but they can pay $15 more for 218GB. So it can't be the cost difference.
Â
The less moving parts, the lower the failure rate. Also, flash memory is pretty fast.Â
But Gamecube was a console where I could get most of the third parties I want for the gen. Â And, then I could pick up a PS2 to get Sony exclusives and the third parties I missed.drekula2Same here.
*snip*Madmangamer364I agree with everything you just said. But if porting to the Wii U truly does cost only 1 million dollars, and devs get $6-$9 per game sold, then a hypothetical GTA V could sell 500k and still turn a profit. You could argue Ubisoft being disappointed with 500k, but shit, it's Ubisoft. Look how many AAA projects they have this year alone. They probably wanted Zombi U to sell 1:1 with the Wii U lol. If Zombi U can pull 500k, GTAV should have no problems achieving that. But hey, like you said, it might be justifiable just yet. And at the end, it all depends on R* seeing a satisfying profit, so I still agree with you somewhat.
^Just as false. There's little to no evidence to suggest that this isn't the case, especially when little to nothing at all is selling on the Wii U besides Mario and Nintendo Land.Too many "if's" to factor in. IF it was announced and releases the same time on the Wii U as the other versions. IF is was marketed properly by both R* and Ninty. IF it was ported to the Wii U properly and performed better than the other versions. Then and only then can we say what it'll sell for sure. I honestly think GTAV would do quite well on the Wii U if these circumstances were met.I'm all ears for a nice, healthy debate on the matter, though. :P
