I'm guessing that the router was reset and the login info was lost. Find the LAN IP address of your friend's router to access it with a browser, and see if the login info provided by his ISP is still there.

The Corsair TX650 power supply would be good for your system, or if you want modular get the Corsair HX620.

Where are you ordering the parts from ? DirectCanada.com and ncix.com are the best etailers in Canada. You don't pay the GST tax if you don't live in BC, and Direct Canada has free shipping when you buy for more than 300$.

ok but first what kind of motherboard should i look for all i know is I have a 4870 ati card.nick15578

A P43 or P45 motherboard if you don't plan on having a 2nd video card, otherwise an X38 or X48. Asus or Gigabyte brands preferrably.

Other components you need (my suggestions):

CPU: Intel E8400
CPU cooler: Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro LGA 775
Case: Antec 300
Power supply: Corsair 550W or more
Memory: 2 x 2 GB ddr2 800 Mhz
Hard disk: Western Digital 640 GB sata 2
Optical Drive: LG sata DVD burner black color
2-3 additional 120 mm fans

OMG

Well I have just found this 8800GTX

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-100-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=877&name=XFX%20GeForce%208800%20GTX%20XXX%20768MB%20GDDR3%20HDTV/Dual%20DVI%20(PCI-Express)%20-%20Retail%20(PV-T80F-SHD9)

Would this be a good choice?

Chris_53

The Asus HD4850 is only £7 more and is faster than the 8800GTX, including Crysis.

Easy choice. The HD4850's price is lower than 200$. The Sapphire is 150$ after a 30$ MIR.

The 9800GTX is pricier than the HD4850.

And the HD4850 is faster than the 9800GTX.

Newegg doesn't ship to Canada. The cheapest HD4870 in Canada I found is a Diamond for 268$ no MIR.

Antec 1000 Watt Power Supply
Diamond Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card

Power supply is overkill. Get a Corsair power supply, they're better. Like 550W or more if you wish.

If you live in the US, buy the Asus HD4870 from newegg for 285$ - 30$ MIR = 255$ + 3 year warranty vs 1 year with Diamond.
