Just get a p43 or P45 motherboard if you really want that GTX 260, there's no point in buying a Crossfire mobo with that video card.

No it doesn't affect performance in any way, the fix isn't different than changing the fan speed in Rivatuner or Ati Tray Tools.

Yeah get the Corsair 650TX to be a little more future proof. It doesn't cost much more and it'd be safer if you overclock your HD4870.

The HD4850 is cheaper and faster than the XFX 8800GT you listed.

Avast or AVG antivirus both have free editions. If you have a router there's an integrated firewall too + Windows firewall should be enough. I tried Zone Labs firewall free and professional edition and didn't like either.

Price drop for Nvidia's partners, not necessarily the same price drop at retailers.

[QUOTE="matrixian"][QUOTE="SmeagleTEhBomb"]

about $280.00

SmeagleTEhBomb

Is that in US dollars ?

yeah i think i might be getting jipped.....goin to look into that

For 300$ you can get the much faster Radeon HD4870, or for 200$ the HD4850. If you like Nvidia more, the 9800gtx at 200$ is a better choice than the 8800gts.

Performance wise: hd4870 > hd4850 > 9800gtx > 8800gts
