Probably fake charts, we'll know for sure in a few days. And the amound of memory isn't a good indication of performance.

From what i've gathered in 10-15 min, the ABIT IX38 Quad GT and GIGABYTE GA-X48-DS4 seem pretty good. The first has 8 sata ports, the second has 6, i take it you'll have lots of hard drives and optical drives with that Antec 1200 case.

X38/X48 give 16x speed on both pci-express lanes, p35/p45 gives 16x/4x speeds. As for a good model, read the comments and search for reviews.

Personally i'd just get a single hd4870, lower power consumption and less heat than crossfire.

[QUOTE="matrixian"]A better reason would be price/performance. A 9800GTX+ is not much faster than 4850 and will cost 230$. Now you can already see rebates for the 4850 (Asus 30$ MIR, 25% discount for Visiontek at Bestbuy, ...).mastershake575
I thought that the 9800gtx+ was being predicted to be $199 ?? thats what the threads here have been saying

Vanilla 9800gtx is 199$, + is 30$ more.

That case is way too expensive. I recommend the Antec 300 or Coolermaster C690. With the money saved, you can buy an X38 or X48 motherboard for better crossfire. Also, i'd take a Corsair power supply over OCZ.

Edit: Diamond offers only 1 year warranty. Get an Asus (3 years), Sapphire (2 years) or Visiontek (lifetime limited).

The 4870x2 will be released in august/september and will require 1 pci-e slot. There's not much info about it so i'm not sure what you're saying when you say you just looked at it. Why not just get a 4850 or 4870 ? That's already an enormous upgrade over your 2600xt.

You can remove the included power supply and replace it with the 600W one.

A Crossfire connector is included in the box when you buy a 4850. Your power supply has to have 2 pci-e connectors and be at least 550W, no extra equipment needed. And your motherboard has to be Intel-based (p35, p45, x38, x48). Only a few days more before we see benchmarks of the 4870. Wait a little before making the final decision.
