I suggest you get the ga-p35-ds3r motherboard that supports only ddr2. No need for both ddr2 and ddr3 support.

By the time you move to ddr3 you'll want a new motherboard with new technologies like pci-e 2 and sata III.

dd3 will become mainstream in 2009.

And if i have no jumper on does that mean its the master slave? WOP_4_LIFE

For my seagate sata no jumper is for 3.0 gbit/sec speed and with a jumper is for 1.5 gbit/sec.

3 is the only PSU connector. Hot_Potato

Number 1 connects to the PSU also. And pick one PSU connector, not both.

If you have a 64 bit OS and cpu go ahead. For 32 bit, vista will recognize from 3.0 gb to 3.5 gb, and xp will only see 2 gb unless you add a line to the Boot.ini file, then it will see 3 gb.

I'd suggest checking DirectCanada for your parts since DC has very nice prices and free shipping on orders over $300.

Yep DC rules, it's the best etailer in Canada. I ordered last night 2 gigs of corsair ram pc2-5400 for 70$ CDN. I might get another pair later.
