[QUOTE="matrixian"]Keep the HD4850, it's faster and cheaper than the 9800GTX. Don't know why that angry_dude recommended that card.Angry_Bosmer

Anyway 180$ is cheaper than the ATI, don't you think?

And Nvidia is more reliable than ATI (I know).

The TC had links to newegg, and you link him to tigerdirect.ca... Reading problems ?

The HD4850 is 155$ after MIR. angry_dude's math skills = FAIL.

HD4850 > 9800GTX (I know)

The Antec 900 is badass. I idle at 38C and load 50-55C with 50% fanspeed.TrickyNicky

It doesn't have to be one constant fan speed. 35-40% is more than enough at idle, and activate another profile with 50-55% speed when you're gaming. That way the card is silent when you're not playing a game.

Anandtech has a few benchmarks comparing the 2 cards at 1280x1024. But yeah you should keep your current card.

Not to mention, Nvidia just released the PhysX drivers, which is a 30+ FPS increase in PhysX enabled games Swiftstrike5

You mean a decrease. How can you have more fps when part of the GPU is processing physics calculations ?

45-55C idle and 65-80C load. Create multiple profiles: 35% and 40% for idle and 50%-60% under load. For me at 55% speed it never goes higher than 70C when i'm playing a game.

If your psu has 2 pci-e connectors, use them, don't use the Y cables. The Y cables are adapters and you preferrably avoid using them.
