[QUOTE="ZeldaNut113"]Sadness no longer exists, if it did exist to begin withcobrax80
they said it's still in development. And it was always in development, all they need is a publisher.
Nope, so much confusion about Sadness in this thread. Frontline was never the publisher, they've had a publisher since last
Summer/Fallish. Also, look over to the cubed3 site for hands on with two of nibris' (non existent? :P ) DS games.[QUOTE="Blackbond"]Even the Call of Duty games had Co-Op through Mods. Welcome to PC gaming. If the game doesn't support the feature it comes out in due time.TekkenMaster606
I mean, if you ask me. Co-op is an easy way to take all that time you spent on developing a single player experience, and applying a band-aid to the lack of diversity in the versus deparment and calling it 'More multiplayer features!'
That's what Doom 3 on Xbox smelled like.
But this...
Power Struggle: All players start the game on one of two teams with nothing more than a pistol and a basic nano-suit. The two possible teams are the US Delta Force, or the North Korean Army. After the players have joined a team, they will fight to earn points. These points are more than cosmetic; Points are used to purchase weapons, vehicles and even entire manufacturing plants. How one earns points will depend on what type/rank of player they have killed. For example, if a beginner defeats a general, then they will receive more points than if the general had killed the beginner. Weapons may be taken from the corpses of dead opponents and team mates, and vehicles can be stolen from the opposing side with the use of lockpicks, giving underdog players a chance to compete with enemies who are able to buy more advanced equipment.
Each game in "Power Struggle" mode can last over 10 hours (5 simulated days) although the average game lasts for about 45 minutes. Players may crossbreed vehicles with alien technologies if they bring the technology back to their base from one of several alien crash sites randomly generated on the map. Thus, one can create an invisible tank or a jeep that has a mounted freeze gun rather than a standard machine gun. Players can buy weapons from where you spawn or at certain control points amongst the map. However, should the player die, they will lose their guns and any of their vehicles, assuming their vehicle had been destroyed or stolen when they perished.
Sounds amazing.
Dear Og, will the amazing things never stop coming? I haven't read about that yet, thanks. :) Good thing my Laptop can handle Crysis, didn't break the bank either, and it came with a HD++ screen. Heh, just playin with you all. :P
Is there any rush for this purchase? Its kinda funny because I got the exact laptop above, sans the Core 2 (just a Core duo) with 2 Gigs of Ram, a cheaper battery, and a smaller HD for 1600....last June.
If there is not rush, wait until Dell unleases some of their summer deals. Otherwise, I believe that I saw a nice Acer (maybe, saw it a few months ago, memory hazy) with a 7600GTX 15' screen for around 1500.
As a supporter of Sadness, can I please ask that people stop arguing that Sadness is vaporware until E3. If they don't show at E3, you can call it whatever you want. I mean, there is nothing to prove either side. Key word, prove. Heh, just like religion. :P
So I have faith that Sadness will come to us one day, while there are many people out there that doubt me and call me a liar, and demand some proof. All that I can give them are words and pictures. They say that anyone could have wrote or drawn them. They demand something living, something to prove to them that Sadness is real. I can't give them that, I can only wait and hope that these heathens will be smoten one day.
Well, just to restate how cheaply you can get a gaming pc....
I got a LAPTOP (usually 1.5 times more expensive than a comprable desktop) for ~$1600 last summer. It can run Supreme Commander maxed out (sans AA) at 1900x1200. I will hopefully be able to run Crysis at Medium for full Resolution, and if I want to swallow my pride, I can drop the resolution a bit and play it Maxed.
*Prices are in US
If you are willing to wait for a good deal, you can get a pretty good one. I got mine from Dell, it's an Inspiron 1705 with pretty much all the bells and whistles, and I got it for about $1600 back in June. This was after 47% off. This discount was a combo from the 33% off special (which I have checked Dell's site for almost weekly without seeing it repeated, maybe it's just a summer thing) and the 12% discount I got from my college (I had to buy a 2 year warrenty, but I thought it was justified) So, I ended up with a $3,000 laptop for $1600 (If I try to buy the same laptop right now, it's more than $1600, which is pretty much unheard of). So I would just wait for a good deal, maybe wait till DX10 cards and see if Dell has any good summer deals. Good Luck :)
