@Thanatos2k: Like is all you do is just talk out of your ass? Console owning children are now the minority, most of them will have tablets/phones and the ones that do have consoles are on the PlayStation or Xbox for shooters.

Plenty of adults have free time whether it's a break during their job, maybe in between classes or they're commuting. I'm 30 and I hardly bring it out of the house but having it in portable mode beats the hassle of having to switch around HDMI cables like I have to do for the other four consoles I use.

@itchyflop:"Microsoft did it"

Can you name me one of their first party games that don't allow some type of local multiplayer?

Sony didn't "follow" with the PS4. All the way back on the PS3 you had SOCOM CONFRONTATION and Killzone 2 which didn't offer split screen.

@Thanatos2k: 40% of people use the Switch mostly in portable mode. Less than 30% use it mostly in TV mode. That leaves over 30% playing in both. So who wants to play it on the tiny screen? More than half.

@zer0day: lol, you never had a serious response because if you did then you would have posted it instead of pointing out one grammatical error in my over 100 word post.

Did you just "u mad bro" meme me? Not even. "u inaccurate bro?" Yes you are.

Actually some corrections. Sony allows Japanese accounts to change their display ID. Then you also have the fact that Sony themselves can force change a PSN user ID. One guy had "Satan" in his name or whatever and people reported it so they gave him a new name. Now because the system was never designed for a name change this completely fucked up his account. All his trophies from the original name are gone from his new one. His leaderboard rankings in various games were messed up. I think he might have had some problems with a couple game save files.

@zer0day: You're post wasn't about that and yet you still felt the need to put it. You put it and so that leaves you susceptible to having people publicly critique it.

You never said anything about exclusives. If you're looking for the most newest experiences that you couldn't have possibly played before then Xbox easily beats the Switch.

Just this month: Dynasty Warriors 9, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Metal Gear Survive, Sword Art Online and Sea of Thieves.

The Switch's biggest release this month is a Wii U port. Which I can play your strawman too, HURR DURR you can play it on CEMU.

Just because the games don't interest you doesn't mean they're not there.

BTW the rest of your post is also bad. You're complaining about stuff everyone got over since the PSP. They also won't ever make practical bundles via cost or what's included. Phones don't and those sell. Regardless if they actually are or aren't, that's the market Nintendo believes they're competing with.

@girlusocrazy: That's all true but I guess I should have quoted what I was really replying to.
"If there's a game that requires two or more Switches they could have already done that on 3DS. I don't see how more things will magically be possible just because it's using Switch now."

So hopefully my Doom comment makes more sens in that context. The whole reason not to put a game on the 3DS is because its complete lack of power compared to the Switch. While plenty of Switch ports have to make small concessions here and there, bringing a game like Rocket League to 3DS would basically have you making an entirely new game.
