I get that error all the time as well when using the wifi connection. Your signal strength may not be high enough. (I fix this issue by plugging in an Ethernet cable)

This is beyond words. I would say something very explicit about the topic creator, but it would be politically incorrect. And we GS users love our political correctness. Suffice it to say, there'll be a better chance of Half-Life 2 being ported to the SNES.

EDIT: Some may call the topic creator a troll, but I'll be nice and say he's ill-informed.

2nd EDIT: And has arthritic fingers

Tungsten88

Oh no he's a troll. He has a history of asking stupid questions on this board only with the intent of starting a flamewar.

Well, either that or he's mentally insufficient. He can pick.

Pointing out something that should have been implemented is always trolling for some of these people. Deihmos

When all you do is point things that should have been implemented, then you're trolling.

I'm curious as to why you're over here anyway if your current console is so great. People tend to peek at the competition when the thing they're currently holding no longer pleases them.

Like everyone has already noted, if you are getting a job, acquiring the 60GB model should be no problem.

The jump from $500 to $600 is not large if you're going to be spending that much anyway. (I'm assuming you're getting a game with the purchase as well which means you won't be walking out of the store spending any less than $560 anyway)

We have two dedicated people here and I need not to mention who, because we all can see they always come and compare the PS3 with their "not-so-elite" X360. Like I already told you before Deihmos and rasstarman, everything I have on my PC I played it using my PC, it's quite ridiculous to stream it again to your console just to play it. So everytime you wanted to play your media files, say listening to the songs, you have to turn on your PC, connect it to your console and then stream it? No thanks for me, it's easier just to keep it in the PS3 HDD and play it right away. Even though the PS3 have that streaming capablity, but still I prefer to keep it in the HDD. Well yeah, that because I have over 40GB to store any media files I want. PS3 is PS3, X360 is X360.They both are a different product. So would you please keep your X360 inside your pants and stop comparing yours with the PS3 ? And sorry for any grammar and spelling mistakes, because English isn't my first language.setyono

Well said.

I wonder how unhappy those people must be to constantly come to this board and attempt to stir up conflict. Clearly, their gaming needs are not met by what they currently own.

how is the lifespan shortened when it is fixed and working like new?nfglory

It is shortened when you compare it to a brand new unit that has no problems at all.

It's like comparing a car that was damaged in an accident and completely rebuilt to an identical car rolling off the dealer's lot.

You'd have to search long and hard to find someone who would pick the damaged and rebuilt vehicle over the brand new one.

Heck, even if the damaged and rebuilt vehicle was a nicer brand and was worth more, you'd have few people going over to claim someone else's used and deformed goods.

Depends on the interface.

I have a 120GB USB external hard drive from Western Digital. Worked like a charm in transferring movies, audio, photos, etc...

I know this is the wrong form but idk where to put it... i have 2 excellent condition Final Fantasy Sevens for PS1 but one is the greatest hits version and the other is the original on without it. I saw on EBay that they were worth alot but how much do you think i could get for each?

Eaglesnfceast

Look up the eBay prices. Add $10 to them. Start your auction. If no one buys it, keep lowering in $5 increments.

Very simple.

The consumer is getting the product at a discount. Kudos to Sony.

Unlike..other companies...over pricing their products.Bread_or_Decide

I believe all console companies (with the exception of one right now) lose money with their hardware.

Over time, with falling technology costs and improved manufacturing efficiency, these companies begin to churn out a profit in their hardware and software sales.

Ultimately, yes, the company always makes money. If they didn't, we wouldn't be purchasing from them anymore. They'd have dropped out of the game.
