you posted this because of cellien didn't you?

I'm very happy with my purchase. I love my PS3. I Just want more games to play :P

Celliwho?? :D

And let me guess. Cellien Profile is set to private?

It should be after Trek revealed 86% of his posts were made in the PS3 board. (Of which the majority I'm willing to bet are negative references)

Despite the fact that he doesn't own one.

Ouch.

Aren't public profiles great? :P

Don't be so hard on the guy. let him post in PS3 forums, and let Fanboys do the flaming.

Okay okay...I'll let up. :D

Truth be told, it's got to be a pretty rotten feeling anyway to want a PS3, not be able to get one, and be left with just posting messages on a board about it.

No problem. If you have a laptop with wifi lying around, you can also use that to check and see if the source of the problem lies @ the router or with your PS3.

The ability to support more types of media (video or audio) would be welcomed as well. Although I'm sure Sony would run into some copyright protection issues if they embraced my idea.

he asked for details which you don't have, you have a fanboy point of view, oh yeah you sure are annoying!freediro

I guess there are other PS3 fans out there who don't appreciate people who just come to this board to bash the PS3. How odd. :)

Upscaling would be nice. So would XMB access. I'm sure they're on the way.

I'm not sure any PS3 games are masterpieces...yet. When I refer to masterpiece games, I usually think of Super Mario Bros., Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: SotN, Half Life, MGS, and most recently God of War and Oblivion. All of these are games that changed the gaming world, helped define the systems they were released for, and hold up to the test of time.

As good as Resistance is, I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. Sure, it's done by far the best job of showcasing what the PS3 can do, but it didn't provide the epic experience that, say, MGS did. It might be a while before we see a true masterpiece, but if Resistance and Motorstorm are any indication of what's to come, I'm excited as hell to see what's in store for the PS3. My bets are on Lair and Heavenly Sword to give us more of a next-gen experience, but if they don't live up to the hype, there's always MGS4.

Agreed. To be honest, I don't see Lair and/or Heavenly Sword falling into the masterpiece category either. I think they'll be good games. But I feel that MGS4 will probably be the 1st game for the PS3 that's really transcendent.

I think shelling out a grand for a few controllers a game and a half-assed, overpriced, overrated console that wants to be a computer so rediculously bad it fails before it even gets on the stage.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying one, and forunately there weren't any to be found anywhere so I made a couple hundred dollars EXTRA after selling it back (which was a good thing)

Thankfully I'm getting the new directx 10 card and a whole entire new computer to play games and do everything the ps3 wishes it could do.

Glad you had a nice purchase.

May I ask what your PC does that the PS3 is unable to perform?

It is nice indeed. I just think they can make improvements with the firmware and customization abilities and we are set. But those are minor things they can fix over time.ArmoJan

Agreed. And I'd welcome more good games too ;)

Hmm...positive posts huh? I know someone who will not be joining us then. :D

I've owned a 60GB PS3 since February and I too have thoroughly enjoyed it. I was very impressed by the clarity of BluRay movies and the games I've played thus far: Resistance, Marvel (eh...I enjoyed it...most won't agree though :)), and Oblivion have all lived up to my expectations.

Awesome system.
