Purchased the game more than a month ago and I still haven't embarked on the main quest yet. I've made it all the way thru the Arena, all the way thru the Dark Brotherhood, and am at the closing missions of the Thieves Guild.

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with Sony hardware failures.

I bought my PS1 about the time the PS2's were getting set to launch. (Rock solid experience btw)

I never got around to picking up a PS2. (I ...mumble mumble mumble may have tried another company's system instead)

And when I look around at this gen, the PS3 stands heads and shoulders above the rest when it comes to reliability.

A trivial point for many. But after what I went thru last gen, I rank reliability quite high on my "What do I want from a console? - attributes list"

I think the graphics are certainly still nice on a regular TV.

But they'll really be enhanced with an HDTV. You should definitely consider that as a future purchase. The price on HDTV's is rapidly coming down too. I believe there are some budget versions out there (at stores like Costco) where you could get a 42" LCD HDTV for less than a grand. 

it wouldn't make sense that activision and the other creators of the game would of had created extrA data just for the xbox they have to advertise for the game on both the consoles otherwise it would be pretty dam stupid just have add on available just one console...gusto87

It's not Sony's problem that you can't finish Oblivion or any other game.
You want to Sony to losses $$$ on your behalf that's CRAZY....

Especially when the release date for Home had always been Fall of 2007.

Especially when the ability to change the PS3 background won't win any new customers. (not intelligent ones anyway)

Especially when the decision to roll out so much downloadable content over the PSN would be fairly fruitless at this point without giving the PS3 a year to hit as many homes as possible 

no ppl if u guys will read more carefully u will see....it will 1st come out for the 360 and after a while on the ps3gusto87

I can't tell if this is sheer stupidity or a pathetic attempt to troll by rubbing in the fact that the 360 gets DLC on this one game.
