Price drop? Not worth waiting for. Price drops are always "around the corner". If you wait another two decades, you'll be able to find one at an even lower price.

Exclusives? I'm sure Sony will have them...

Games games games? Depends what you like. There may already be games, games, games out that you like already.

All in all, I wouldn't wait. It's a great console. 

I have the $600 saved for a PS3, now im just waiting for the reason. Could Lair and Killzone 2 and MGS4 be the games imwaiting for. Blu-Ray isnt the exact Winner yet. Im just waiting for the Playstation difference. it sdepreesing. :(

You post on the PS3 board a lot for someone who claims there's no reason to get a PS3. 

There's really only two choices.

If it's loud and you can still return it, do so.

If not, you just have to be thankful it's merely loud. There are other systems out there (that will go unnamed) that are both loud and unreliable. 

I know you guys have probably seen these topics like a million times. But anyways I'm just excited that I finally got one. At first I was a bit skepitcal about it cause of the high price point and all the games that have come out werent as good as everyone thought. But I have totaly changed my mind. And I'm glad to finally join the PS3 community. For all those people who havent got one yet, trust me its difintely worth it! Now I cant wait for all the good games to come out.

Congrats! I highly recommend Oblivion 

Considering I got my 60gig for $540 3 weeks after launch, I'd be cool with a price drop and gettin more PS3 users.

(in case you're wondering I got it from target and took out their Target Card which gets you 10% off your first purchase.)

Awesome.

I tried the same thing at a local Toys R Us. The sales clerk was wearing a sign on her shirt that said, "Ask me how to get 10% off"

So I did, and of course, I had to sign up for a Toys R Us credit card and whole shabang, and when I finished, she told me, "Oh by the way. That doesn't apply to hardware purchases."

I was about ready to leap over the counter and strangle her.

Instead, we spent some more time destroying and cancelling my application and I ended up charging it to the Amex instead. (airplane miles are better than nothing I guess) 

BluRay is also the reason why companies consider building their "masterpiece" games for the PS3.

I wouldn't omit it just for price concerns.
