the PS3 version of F.E.A.R looks a lot better than the 360 version. it's sharper and it's brighter.

i thought it'd be another lame port but dang, i was wrong. great news for us PS3 owners.

;)

Not a big surprise. Oblivion looked better as well. I figure any team that has the time to properly port over a game should be able to get it running a little smoother. (There are some notorious developers, who shall go nameless, however that do not do a good job of porting...;) )

you do of course count Ubisoft as one of them don't you? :)

:P

Not nameless for too long

[QUOTE="mistermykol"]The more I read into the ps3 and its games, reliability factor, blurray and everything it has to offer, I find myself tempted to buy one along side my 360. What does the ps3 have to offer?kingtito

Umm...you already listed them.....

-An impressive game library on the way

-Reliability (A big purchasing factor for me)

-BluRay

-Free online service

-PlayStation Home

Impressive game library in maybe a year or 2 but not right now.

Reliability is still a question mark considering the PS2 had so many problems with the disc read error that croped up later after launch. I will say so far so good but it's not like any of the other consoles are breaking down left and right. My 360 works perfectly.

Free online is a plus but the online isn't great we'll see where it goes in the next 6 months.

PS Home a plus? I'd rather play games than create a virtual apartment and watch movies on a little screen. I save that for real life besides home is going to get boring real fast.

All in all I'd wait or your PS3 will be sitting around like mine is.

I'd say the 1st batch of impressive games are less than 6 months away.

Reliability is clearly a strong suit of the PS3. The PS2's problems are last gen. Conversely, there are other system out there that seem failure-prone. You'll notice few to no reports have been made about PS3 hardware failure.

The online isn't all that great but like you said, I'd be willing to go through the growing pains because it is free.

PS Home is certainly a plus because again, it's a free option. I don't have to pay for anything. I don't even have to use it if I don't want to. But if I'm tired of my games and just want a brief diversion, I'm glad to have that option.

All in all, I felt the PS3 was the best choice out there for me.

Awesome detective work. TC has been busted.

This was found under the title "Welcome me: The PS3 defector". I've bleeped out the inappropriate remarks and names in order to make this suitable for the board.

I've gone and done it, o I've really gone and done it this time. I'm now a proud *** owner. After buying the PS3 I have traded it up for a ******* and 8 games plus I got £300 in cash for my PS3 and a gamePixelgen

I stick up for the ps3 but I really hate how ppl think Wii or the 360 is the best choice hands down. I think its just about the games you want to play. My money is going for ps3 when they drop the price. Until then ps2/psp for life. CastleBomb44

Good post. Btw, I think your sig should read "Can't" not "Can"

Final Fantasy XIII Fabula Nova Crystallis, which is a combination of a bunch of games(6 I think), has never been exclusive. Square has said for awhile now that the whole FFXIII FNC FRANCHISE will not be exclusive to any one console, and that it will be present on multiple consoles. However, the flagship title, simply "Final Fantasy XIII", and "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" are PS3 exclusive, and will remain this way(maybe not versus though) for a few reasons:

1. FFXIII is being developed with the White Engine, which is a PS3 based engine developed by Square.

2. With all the HD-CGI, there is no way that FFXIII could fit on anything less than 3 DVD-9s if it was brought to 360. For example, Blue Dragon on the 360 takes 3 discs. Although Blu-Ray is not "needed" for most games, games, like FFXIII, with large amounts of CGI will require alot of space.

3. No Final Fantasy game has ever gone multi-plat(excluding XI and remakes)

4. Sony WILL pay a lot to keep this game exclusive, they cannot afford to lose it.

ultima-flare

That sounds pretty logical. I'm going to stick with that!

Go directly to System Wars. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

I agree with the TC. Not very concerned. As long as the games are still out for the PS3, why would I worry?
