@jerjef: What are these big guns exactly? I have not seen anything that remotely looks like a gun, let alone a big one...removing the Kinect? Dropping the price? releasing a sequel to an old tired series? Giving people an OS that only the media and a few fanboys seem to like? Allowing people to play old games by telling them they need to buy them again and install them on the tiny HDD that came with the console? Giving even more "apps" that dont sell a gaming console? Where are these guns?

@jerjef: " Our primary focus is on our own pace. Our primary focus has and has been and remains on really delivering great products for consumers. We do feel fantastic about the lineup we're delivering. We have chosen really to focus on delivering new value"

Because what MSFT is saying and doing isn't just a bunch of nonsense...they are saying what they think people want to hear and it isn't working.

@sixsixtrample: Exactly. I don't buy a new console so I can play old games when I can just turn on the old console and play them. Especially don't want it if I have to install that old game on a HDD that is already too small to hold the new games on the new system.

Its just another bell to go with the whistle that is the Xbox One.

One paragraph shows just how full of it MSFT is. Their primary focus is three vastly different things.

Sounds like this guy is running for president, just saying what he thinks people want to hear all while thinking people are stupid.

@nazgoroth: You can keep blaming that first E3 all you want, it was only a small part of it and MSFT hasn't changed a thing other than is no longer calling people stupid for not agreeing with them and instead are lying with a smile. Focused on games my backside, every single update has been about apps and UI changes with an upcoming Windows 10 patch...but they DID announce they were no longer going to try to get exclusives and focus on 1st party games. THAT is not FOR gamers.

The company is focused on gamers. "Here is a voice control update."

The company is focused on gamers. "Here are more apps!"

The company is focused on gamers. "We are going to focus on first party games instead of exclusives"

The company is focused on gamers. "Hey, even more apps for you!".

The company is focused on gamers. "Windows 10 update coming soon".

At some point you would think even the most moronic people would snap out of whats in the Kool-Aid.

@Skrewdriven: You seem to be mistaken.

They are not targeting console gamers. They are targeting PC gamers and the thing will run PC games and thus needs to be far more open hardware wise as well as upgradable like a PC.
