Hi all, so I own a first gen fat ps3 system and just ordered a brand new sealed copy of Heavy Rain the Directors cut off Amazon. Already while playing it the game has frozen 2X. Once giving me that infamous "black screen of death." I dont want to play it again bc i hate to have to replay sections i am in the middle of. I just started the game and am only passed the prologue, now in the 1st chapter Father and Son section. What can i do to fix this? Will calling Sony directly help? Can they give me a new copy of the game and will that even help? Any advice id appreciate, thanks

Ok, for those who have finished this game, I have one question that's been burning away at me - how the hell do I get the Ultra bat claw? You know, that claw that's supposed to be able to break away the high out of reach breakable walls? I've seen online people say that it's just supposed to come to you during the story, but I've already beaten the game and have NOT gotten it yet. So, please, once and for all, HOW do you get this stupid thing? Ok, thanks

I GUESS I liked Sessler on X-play, although the entire time I was actually oogling at Morgan Webb (whatever happened to her?)

Now, I really don't care for his reviews. I think he tries too much to sound overly sophisticated that his reviews come out as too convoluted, or more than it needs to be. Plus that 'out of 5' ratings scale is drab and plain, and not something I really take that seriously. In short, I really don't go to him to decide if I want a game or not. If he likes something, it's bc everyone likes it, if he has something bad to say, it's usually for superficial nonsense reasons.

As far as that video, that guy really does make excellent points about Adam Sessler, his hate on Nintendo, and all the junk Microsoft has pulled. So while I don't hate Sessler, I certainly don't care for him.

I bought this game from Gamestop a few days ago because I remember it from a few years ago and never got a chance to play it. Oh my freakin crap, this has got to be one of the most frustrating exercises in trial and error I've ever played. Is it just me or has anyone else died a bazzillion times, most especially when they have to run away from the cops, and worse yet, when you actually try to hit them and snag their weapons? I'm going back to return this turd. It's like this is such a cool idea and I can see the portions where it's REALLY good, but it's like the game doesn't WANT me to enjoy it, like it's own mechanics work against it to constantly keep you losing over and over and over and over and over ad nauseum. It doesn't feel very good to finish a level when you've had to die 30 times just to get passed it because you had to constantly try different things because the game just doesn't give you enough leeway to think things through. I think I'll pick up House of the Dead Extended Cut instead.

I wouldn't be writing this but whenever I look online all i see is glowing reviews of this crap, as if NOBODY had any trouble with this crap at all.

I just bought this and see that MGS1, MGS1 VR Missions are downloaded. MGS 2 and 3 and Peacewalker are on disc 1 and MGS4 is on disc 2, but i cant find where the original NES games are, as well as the 2 supposed graphic novels this was supposed to bring. Any help?

As adults we become really jaded by the fact that the kid video game market audience is GIGANTIC, perhaps moreso than the adult one. We need a system that is overall a more "family friendly" type system. But we shouldn't forget that if the game is good, the game is good, no matter the rating. There are some real M-rated turds out there and many genuinely great E-rated ones. Plus, a system like the Wii-U would be more appealing to those audiences that the Xbox and PS miss, particularly older adults who never grew up with games, and women in general. Those people have lots of cash too, and Nintendo knows this, so while they may appeal to many hardcore gamers (who are still waiting for an all new Wii-U Zelda and FINALLY A NEW METROID PLEASE!!!!), they also know there is great money to be made with other casual ones. The only problem with the Wii-U being that the marketing to these other groups must be done right, which sadly, Nintendo has incredibly FAILED to do with the Wii-U.

When the next gen systems are in this Christmas, Nintendo had better SERIOUSLY step it up or go the way Sega over a decade ago.

Even though this is a million years old, it's really just more double standard BS. How many formally WHITE people zombies were killed in Resident Evil 1-3? How many foreign spaniards were killed in RE4? Now just because we travel to an african nation and kill formally black people zombies all of a sudden it's racist? This was nothing more than a small group of whiny idiots with nothing else to do with their lives.

So I'm thinking that all this Xbox DRM crap was all just a big publicity stunt, and the truth being that there NEVER WAS any plans for any of that junk that got gamers so riled up.

Think about it - how much publicity has Xbox gotten the last few weeks, both good and bad? How much have YOU been discussing Xbox One rather than PS4? Who is now the company that are seen as completely humble and ready to serve the public first and foremost at the drop of a hat? How many people are now thinking that the extra $100 price tag is not that big a deal anymore even though it's just doing relatively the same exact thing the PS4 always was publicized to do in the first place? Isn't it just a bit odd that such a complex, intricate, and confusingly complicated seemingly established console functionality plan would be axed so quickly in so little a time as just 1 to 2 weeks? You'd think they'd have waited a bit longer, took time to explain the intricacies, fleshed things out more, tried to get the public to really understand where they were coming from. Just doesn't add up.

But the big question is, what's to stop them from going back on their word in other ways once the system is already out? All it takes is one patch update, some good publicity and explanation, phony warnings, etc to get gamers who have already spent a whopping heap of cash to accept it.

So people can go on about how "the people won" in this case, but I'm not buying a word of it.

So far the only game I'm really interested in is Killzone Shadowfall, and although I REALLY want the system (and will get it eventually), my PS3 still has plenty of life left and a good backlog. I plan on selling a few worthy collectibles to pay for the PS4. I'm psyched though!!

I think lots of this will be settled when we know what Sony will do regarding used games and how similar to PC gaming they will be as compared to the Xbox. Really, it'll take at least 3 years into each system's life to know who truly is the winner. Although I will say that just like the current gen, that PS4 games will have better packaging than those fruity cheap DVD cases the 360 and Wii U.

I for one will be getting a PS4, just please give me free online play and the ability to buy used games. That's it, then I'm happy. I won't get the One because just like the 360, I'm sure it'll be just another Call of Duty fruitfest more suitably tailored towards 10 year old boys and drunken college meatheaded jocks.
