@Arkhalipso: if you practice other activities that can damage the mainstream design of the controllers, they wonĀ“t last as much, I for example do rock climbing on a regular basis, my thumbs are a bit stronger so if the controller is very cheaply made I will break it or it will drift making it unusable. (out of 4 ds3s I just have one usable, out of 3 ds4s just one usable, 3 xbox360 controllers 1 semigood 2 bad, and 2 xb1 controllers just one good that my wife uses). I use the ds4 on my xb1 so I can play diablo with a cronusmax.

@Daveof89: I have been using it more than kb/m - xbox one/360 controller, it feels awkward at first, and you still have to reach for a mouse as some windows menus make it stop working.

But then while playing a game after selecting a config or trying one of your own it will click, a second after that you will feel that it just works incredibly well, (try The Witcher 3 after a few days of using it on point and click and other games designed for mouse), after that point you can play with your regular controllers, but you will discover their clunkyness all over again, the steam controller is what I use to navigate my pc daily from the bed, though my wife really hates the white light coming from our 60" tv. after 11pm.

@fanirama: I also don't care that much for 4k right now, even the best or most expensive GPUS can't run at decent framerates today, you would need a pair to be able to average 60 fps.

I have an XB1 and a gtx 780 and I usually play at 1080p on a 60" 3d tv, what I donĀ“t really like about consoles is framerate, for me it goes like this:

30fps = headache in about 1hr / 60fps or more = rarely get headaches, ( headache as in I need 3 200mgs caplets to get rid of it, then I can play for hours without problems).

If think that difference for me at least its greater than 10-15%, but I still play and like games on my XB1.

@chippiez: SAme here, I finished Fallout 3 in 5 days playing almost nonstop when it released on the ps3 (before it had trophies, and it had a bug that froze the game if you were online and any of your friends logged in), and that was it for me, though I get that many people like it, this is a game that I will not play in this life.

@Daian: Yep, my main problem with the Xbox One controller was the analog drift problem, after a couple of controllers (I managed to fix one for my wife so now I have 3), I bought a cronusmax and now use a DS3 for rpgs/action games and a 360 controller for fps games on my xbox one, but regarding the community, that toxic community imho transfered to the ps4, I have had an Xbox One since launch and since the ps4 is more popular I tend to hear the annoying kids on COD or Fifa more often. It was the other way around when I bought my motorstorm bundle and everyone else had a 360, but it also depends on the game you are playing.

@ohllama: I have seen the term applied to this "artificial catch up" many times before, I really liked Motorstorm for example, but in Pacific Rift it was really bad, you could do your best lap time ever on a track and still be beat by this truck or bike that just came out of nowhere at the last second, bad AI is very noticeable on this game when you have to do "train drifts" (a bunch of cars drifting either behind or in front of you while you need to keep close to them), they tend to drive very slow and just when they are approaching the curve they just boost like crazy and leave you behind so you arenĀ“t scoring any points while drifting. Overall is a good game that needed more polish on events and AI.

@sammoth: out of my 2 controllers with firmware 1.2.2236.0, 2 still drift, so not fixed for me, hope it is for the rest, got a cronusmax instead.

Does it Drift like the regular one after a couple of months? It looks like its good, but considering the regular one analogs get busted with regular gameplay with COD and FIFA, NHL etc. (left analog drifts up, or left or right making Destiny unplayable because of the menus).

I also feel a controller on a multiplayer game on pc is a disadvantage, but keep in mind there are elements where you can be at a disadvantage without even thinking about it: network speed, graphic card, monitor, ram, mouse resolution. And sometimes you'll have better hardware and rack up some kills, but your ratio most of the time rounds up to the same number among games and systems.

Cheating ppl get from 0.4 to 4.0+ kill ratios between games, but it would be very rare to change from controller to a keyboard and mouse and instantly be the best around.
