@zizzidane42: Why do you keep saying 'ah ah ah'? Are you that annoying screensaver that pops up on the guy's computer in the original Jurassic Park? Because you seem to be just as irritating.
I would genuinely love to know your favourite films 'man', I'll be absolutely shocked if you've watched anything before the year 2000 (mainly because i don't think you were born before that). In case you haven't noticed, most of the sets on this film have been done practically, CGI has been used in places, because, and i know this will hurt that huge brain of yours, it's impossible to build a full f**king Star Destroyer, you absolute nincompoop (You're not even good enough for a real insult). Show me a blockbuster that doesn't have CGI in it.
@zizzidane42: What an unashamedly stupid response. Basing a movie on a director's previous efforts... So if a director makes something that you or someone else doesnt like, they should never make anything again? I think we might be running out of directors by this point.... Also Armageddon? Have you been smoking something or time-travelling?
Also - John Boyega (yes, incredibly 'that black guy' actually has a name) is a classically trained stage actor, and f**king good at it, too.
But hell, I'm delighted I won't have to suffer the insufferable like you in the cinema.
@Thanatos2kI've seen plenty. In places other than Gamespot, and, wait for it... real life. It has gone down well, even more so with Star Wars fans themselves. As much as many people on this site rather spitefully want it to fail, it won't.
@Triton It isn't really that great. Apple now has the unusual problem of having so much money that it literally needs to spend it on whatever it can. So essentially, they don't need even half the amount they have to cover their yearly growth and investment. Now, imagine we, the public, were able to get the taxes we deserve from them. They would have enough to keep growing as much as they want, and we'd have dozens of new hospitals and schools (or in the US, tanks).
So, emm, no thanks - I'd rather multinationals paid the taxes that the rest of us have to pay.
@FantomassIt really is best to ignore them... Think about the positives - you'll never meet these self-entitled little brats in real life because they're all too busy at home either crying into mummy's bosom, or locked in the basement. Or both.
So... why is Gamespot not removing the 37 1-star reviews from all the little kiddies who are throwing their toys out of the pram? I haven't even played this, and don't intend to until it's much cheaper, but come on, this again??
And seriously, if you're one of those who do it, you are absolutely pathetic, your life is waste and you're an embarrassment to your family.
You're not helping anyone, you're not helping the hundreds of normal, hard-working, innocent people who developed this or any other game. If you want to complain, complain directly to the board and the people at the top. Or better yet, just stay silent and don't buy it. But by giving false reviews you are DIRECTLY putting people out of work. And yes, that's right, that feeling is called 'shame'. If you aren't feeling it, you're a f**king monster.
Ok, I already realise that the vast majority of hatred directed towards Battlefront and most games on here are the same whiny, spotty, teenagers who like nothing more than being disappointed and complaining about it...
But... Can someone explain the complaints about the $50 season pass? Excuse me if I sound a little ignorant, but in the past you paid a one-off sum for a complete game and that was that. No more interaction with the developer. But now, it seems to me like you pay for the content in the game and the development costs. Reasonable. But now we have multiplayer, and my question is - why exactly should the publisher have to pay for the maintenance of all those hot, constantly-running, energy-guzzling servers indefinitely? You'd have to imagine those costs are substantial, especially for a game with millions of players.
So we have 2 choices. Pay WAY more for the initial product, at least triple or quadruple the price. OR, we pay annually with the option to cancel when we want. Sorry guys, but this is business, and that's how it is done.
@ViggyNash I have to admit, I'm still missing the point.. I don't want to sound antagonistic, but what exactly do you DO with all this generated content? Sure, there are lots of animals and fauna, but what do you actually do with them? Collect them? Build a zoo? Or just watch them, then travel on and watch some more?
I'm just lost on why this seems to interest people so much... I see the technical ingenuity of it, just not the function.
