I highly disagree with you. Ive played GOW, and the graphics were eyepopping, but it didnt help the fact that the gameplay just felt 'standard' IMO. Katamari Damacy was addictive, cool, fun and unique. Its graphics were ok, but it didnt stop me. In short, I feel graphics cant justify standard gameplay.

I agree but good graphics isn't just something thats nice to have but not important. I don't think TC was saying graphics are the most important thing, but having awesome graphics can do alot for some games (not all). Take crysis for example, with its highly realistic graphics it makes you feel like you are there alot more than it would if it looked like farcry, having a game more immersive definitely can make a game more enjoyable, and graphics is a big contribution to immersion.

Yea graphics matter. I'm sure everyone can agree that playing crysis on max is more enjoyable than playing it on low. graphics are important BUT not as important as gameplay.

then why dont everyone just buy gameboys and n64 and ps1..they have some of the best games...why do people still buy xbox or ps3?

Are you trying to argue the fact that gameplay is more important than graphics? And to answer your question over the generations graphics are not the only thing that has being improving, thats why people don't stick with n64s or PS1s.

Going by what you say crysis should have one GOTY, because it does have the best graphics which is the most important aspect of a game:roll:

The 360 is useful for streaming porn so you can watch it on your TV, unless you have a TV with VGA inputs. anyway other good things are more/better games, more powerful hardware = better graphics higher framerates, OS's were you can do alot more than just watch videos and stuff like that, software for almost anything you would want to do.....the list goes on
