@jmeyer2039 If you read the article you will see that it will require all games to be installed and will only install once. If you want to install it on another account, there's a fee. Is the fee a full purchase or a partial fee? No idea, but this is definitely bad news for Gamestop. It depends on price if it is bad news for consumer.
You can just buy games that don't require an Internet connection if it bothers you, but it looks like it is more about supporting cloud based content, which is sort of what I always figured.
@C_A_G_E I recommend we do a drinking game and drink every time the words "next generation" and "power" are said. EDIT: and "future" (per suggestion below) =)
@DTH17 I think they were probably more pressure from developers for a response. Devs could say, "If this is true, we're out". That would have an IMMEDIATE effect as games wouldn't be ready on time.
They could wait to let us know, as even after the event in on May 22nd, the launch is still MONTHS away. No immediate danger.
