@greenpolyp It will depend on the game. If they use cloud services in the game, it will require internet. So developers will decide.

You can just buy games that don't require an Internet connection if it bothers you, but it looks like it is more about supporting cloud based content, which is sort of what I always figured.

@C_A_G_E I know. I'm all talk. I will probably wind up owning both a PS4 and next Xbox...eventually.

@DTH17 I think they were probably more pressure from developers for a response. Devs could say, "If this is true, we're out". That would have an IMMEDIATE effect as games wouldn't be ready on time.

They could wait to let us know, as even after the event in on May 22nd, the launch is still MONTHS away. No immediate danger.
