I agree.EuroMafiaWith WHAT, Mr. 66th poster?
[QUOTE="ANIMAL7296"]I dunno why you would want to since all the good games are coming to the 360. All of the multi plats run much better and look much better on the XBOX and if they do make a game that looks real good it has frame rate issues. NOt to mention the fact that the ps3 doesnt have enough ram to run the games unless scaled down. The xbox is the way to go since all their games run in either 780 or 1080.nervmeisterAnd you're full of s#@t!The answer is yes.
360 games don't look better simply because of RAM. They usually look better on the 360 because they were made ON the 360 and then ported to the PS3. They do this because it is harder to develop for the PS3 because of the complex game processor, and when developers get lazy, the look of the game suffers for it.
DMC4 is a great example of a game that looks the same on both versions, so you can't exacly say that XBOX just looks better all the time because of it's RAM.
This also makes me wonder how much better FFXIII will look on the PS3 (seeing as it was MADE for the PS3).

Nope...just a man who believes that gaming should be about the core gamer not the casuals :|
RADIOACTIVE MASTADON!Guess who said that? (>^_^)>
Black Power Ranger?Ahem...
I bought it for downloaded videos, Blue-Ray, multi-platform games, and remote play with my PSP. Netflix is great but it's not enough for me. sorry

I guess this is what fanboyism has been reduced too.
Take it and point. We all get to play the game. PS3/360 owners. It doesn't matter who gets to play the game quicker or faster. It will be the same thing at this piont since the developers have said so. Theres no need to argue sells becasue the game will sell better worldwide on the PS3. Installing vs switching discs is one of the most dumbest arguements I have ever heard in SW.
If you have a problem with installs use a different arguement besides switching disc and waiting for an install. Neither require that much enegy.
It isn't fanboyism for me. I just love debating. I know the difference between a fact and an opinion/preference. I'm merely defending my preference of installation over disc-swapping, and I'm defending it quite effectively without your help, so GOOD-BYE!You ask if I get annoyed by those who buy a PS3 just to play a few games. I think you mean to ask if I get annoyed by those who buy a PS3 for the games at all.
As for me, I have a PS3 so I can play Motorstorm, FFXIII (both versions), Rock Band (that game gives me 10 games worth of entertainment), and Portal. I'm wondering if the Konami/Bandai fighting games will be too mature for my tastes. Even so, I'll buy them just for Batman and Darth Vador.
[QUOTE="Dahaka-UK"]You bought the wrong console if you want RPGs. Get an XBOX360 instead.Ravi_DRUMZ
i had a ps2 last gen so i thought i would get the same types of games
i thought xbox was the one for shooters, not the other way around
Right. Shooters are the ones for Xboxes.Im not joking, that game better have more than 40gb of data on Final Fantasy XIII.
I did not wait 4 years for a dumb down because of 360. Now i know how PC owners feel....
Lebron181
Indeed.
Keep in mind that PC owners have to install ALL their disc-based games, so why should installing games on the PS3 be any more painful?
EDIT: Come to think of it, I wonder how PC gamers feel about having both the cons of the PS3 and 360 versions of any game on their platform (the cons being installation and dumbed down graphics).
EDIT 2: "Dumbed down graphics" refers to the ported version of any game.

360 - DVD9 = 12x speed.
360 people will be playing the game while you're still installing it on your hd.

And while we're installing FF Versus XIII, you will....play it again...?

It takes about 10 seconds to change discs. and 30 minutes at the most to install a game. If a quarter of an RPG is 30 minutes, it is not worth it.Not only will you have to change discs, but because you don't have an installed version of the game, you will have loading screens for individual parts.
After a few playthroughs of the game, it is no longer worth it.
So you use up all the energy you want recording the time it takes to run up to your 360 and change the discs. I'll watch an episode of Burn Notice while my PS3 is installing the greater version.
I doubt I'll be taking up much energy doing a few simple hand movements throughout whats probably going to be a 60 hour game. I'll be playing FF13 while your watching an episode of Burn Notice.
What makes you think it will be the better version. PS3 has proven countless of times that multiplats are always the weaker version on the PS3. It's gonna be the same ol thing with FF13. Jagged textures, blurry bloom effect on the PS3 and for the XBOX360 no doubt sharper textures, better colours, better framerate an better everything. Heck we might even get more content like always.
Games are usually better on the 360 because they were made on the 360 and ported to the PS3. This time, it's the other way around. Do you really think they will spend a lot of time improving the look of the 360 version? What's most likely going to happen is they are going to spend most of their time finding ways to compress and (ever-so-slightly) degrade a lot of content to save space. If you want to avoid the loading screens the game forces you to sit through in order to decompress each segment of the game, you will have to do what PS3 users have to do anyway, so you really aren't saving a whole lot of time with the 360 version.
