No doubt the xbox 360 will own this holiday. Dont forget the upcoming 4gb built in wifi xbox 360 slim for just $199(killer blow to sony). Besides halo reach is being marketed better than odst.(halo reach will own this year).
For those that have played KZ, this is a must read, I just didnt think the series had this much history behind it.
And i feel sorry for the Helghast, i really hope they destroy Vekta/ISA. This really humanised them for me.
Lets hope for a Helghast campaign in KZ3.
Yeah i agree killzone has a very interesting backstory just that GG are very poor with the way they tell the story in the game. There will surely be a gears of war prequel called pendulum wars in the future so i hope GG makes a killone prequel where we can play as the helghasts & will give more detailed back story about the suffering of the helghats. But according to all the back stories posted here both the locusts & the helghasts are supposed to be the good guys because they realy created by the humans out of greed.
gears of war takes place on sera, its not earth humanity is on a different planet.Helgast are humans that went to another planet and are attacking earth from that planet.
Locust came from underneath sera, now it is contested that the locust were made by the military during the war between the gear states and loose countries on sera, though this is unconfirmed, much is known by marcuses father we will likely get these answers in gears 3.
I don't know much about helgast or killzone's story line...since I played killzone 2 and didn't pay attention and never played killzone 1. I'll say this it has some of the oddest story and worst acting in a game ever...killzone 2 that is...all I can say is one scene in particular is a character gets shot multiple times in the gut, and another character is getting angry at the other for not being able to keep up....

LOCUST from Gears of War series & HELGHAST from Killzone series the 2 coolest villains in any video game but where did they realy come or originate from....ANY IDEA???
I know helghast are from helghan planet but i think they were once humans & why did they live for helghan planet?
The locust came out from below the surface of the earth but am not gonna believe they originated from there i beleive they must've come from another planet to hide under the earth.

Crysis 2 is the only game with the most dynamic particle effect that can be affected by wind.
I like m$ idea. They announced hardcore titles: *halo reach *gears of war 3 *cod:black ops *codename:kingdom etc. For regular controller to show they're not droping off core player while introducing kinect to attract more cassual gamers to the xbox family. Reasonably no hardcore player will want to use any motion controller for fps because the motion controller players will not stand a chance against regular controller players. Thanks m$ i love playing my halo & gears with my controller.
Gears of war 3 looks better even while running at 4 players co-op campaign.I dont see anything tasking in Killzone 3(pathetic) it can't even run 2 players co-op campaigne like gears 2. The enviroment in killzone 3 looks so bland & blurry with scripted particle effects. And gears of war 3's global illumination is doing a good job than killzone 3's differed lighting.
