@turianshepard: That's just not true. Did you play this? If you did play it, you might have experienced that yourself, or be going with a (clearly) large number of people who did experience that - but it's not true that "it's still bugged and runs like poop". I played it all the way through - about 30 or 40 hours worth...and can honestly tell you that twice I saw people shoot up into the air for no reason, maybe twice an NPC was stuck "walking" on the spot, but that was it as far as bugs were concerned....nothing else bug-wise at all.
Now you may not have liked the gameplay, maybe just don't like Ubi or AC...that's different.
@Zazabar: yeah - definitely. Especially when the standard 500Gb HD loses about 160Gb to the OS and games like MCC and GTA take up about 60 and 40 Gb respectively. really happy that's so easy to expand.
@BrunoBRS: It's not that simple. Ubisoft are a Public company - ie, quoted on a stock market - which means there's a good chance that banks, investment funds, pension and insurance companies, etc, will hold a majority of their shares. If Vivendi were to bid for more shares, all those holders might say, for example, "hmm...I paid X for my 5% stake...Vivendi are offering me 3 times that to sell my shares to them" and sell all their stakes...so Vivendi could easily get to a 30% stake. Once they have 30% they must bid for the entire company.
It's usual for a company to not want to be taken over, but really have no say in it.
Now if they were a Private company, and their shares were not quoted, they'd have more chance of staying independent.
@theninjaguydon: Unity really wasn't that bad once they ironed the bugs out. It was much better than AC3. Watch Dogs tried to do something very different. It didn't completely succeed, granted, but at least they tried something new. Should we commend them for that?
And I hadn't realised The Division had even been released yet.
The Splinter cell games have been one of the best series of games out there for a long time...certainly one of my favourites.
@howiex89: Think you're probably right. I got mine last Christmas - £300 including the 2 AC games (though only 1 controller) - pretty sure they'll be a little cheaper this year.
@Zazabar: Haha!! that's pretty funny. So let's see - the deal consists of an xbox One, a 500GB HDD, a couple of games and an extra controller. And you don't want the games, the HDD or the extra controller?
I'm no retail expert but I can comfortably advise you this is probably not the deal for you!
Seriously though, it's really easy to hook a 2TB HDD up to the xbox...and they are very cheap now too. you don't need to buy a proprietary one like you did with the 360, so they are very cheap. My 2TB HDD was about £70.
@360ru13r: Gotcha. I really liked Borderlands and still have Borderlands 2 because I really liked that too...but I like the games because the combat in them is really good and the firefights can be pretty thrilling. As for the story - I mean, it was ok, but I never really get into the stories behind the games, even with, say Halo. I wouldn't buy a game that drops all the action and just presents the story behind it, even it were about, say, Fallout3, which is my favourite game. Still - clearly a lot of people like them so who am I to argue?
@brimmul777: Agreed. So bored of this stuff now. I have the One and you know what? It's great - I'm really enjoying it. If I didn't have a One, I'd have a PS4. And you know what?? I have no doubt whatsoever I'd really enjoy that too.
@Utnayan: You're clearly just angry. So you think that if someone likes a game that you don't like (how dare they?!?!) they MUST be getting paid? Again, get a grip. I'm fully aware that a tiny minority of people are paid to make bad reviews, etc, I get that. I also get that a lot of people didn't like Unity at all. But I'll ask again - how much of it did you play? I played it, and really enjoyed it. It looked great, ran smoothly, was enjoyable and lasted for at least 25 - 30 hrs. It was miles better (again, imo) than AC3. "It should not be defended". I mean, that's just laughable.
@greatryoman: Ok - right. Nope - never heard of visual novels. Thanks for the explanation - I'll leave them to everyone else and continue waiting for Fallout4!
