@heqteur: Haha. Dammit!! You're right - it's only worth £58!! Ok - let's call it quits; after the tax man takes his bit it won't buy a pint of beer in London!
@Sevenizz: Oh ok. Gotcha. I don't really MP. I love SP so there are a few on the PS I'd really like to play. Nothing that makes me suicidal obv - it's not ruining my life or anything like that, but I'd like to play some of them at some point.
@imajinn: You're right - I think an awful lot of people made that move from 360 to PS4. I was very nearly one of them but decided in the end to stick with MS because I love the whole Live / Games with Gold thing - and, don't get me wrong, I love my One - but I'm less likely to stick with MS this time around...
@heqteur: I'll take a piece of that action. I'll send you my address so you can post it. Also - would you please change it into GBP before you post? It should be about £76 but I'll take £70 for cash...
@R3dsh1fted: Agreed. Also I think the rate of improvement in screens has pretty much reached a zenith. I mean, yeh, 4K's great (although doesn't look much better than a good, new HD screen imo) but what's next? 16k? You really think people will see the improvements? Think that's why they started fiddling around with what turned out to be simply gimmicks (curved screens and 3DTV I'm looking at you!), hoping it would be the next big step forwards.
The only thing (apart from the hoped-for fps increases) that will continue to increase regularly I think will be the speeds of broadband connections but, apart from the initial downloading of the game, that won't hold much benefit for gamers; if you have a 100Mbps connection now, moving to a 1G link won't increase your enjoyment that much. Super-fast will continue to be rolled out to more and more parts of the world of course; I'm only about 20 miles outside London and have a copper 15Mbps connection. Where's my bloody fibre BT???
Hopefully VR will take up the "new-fangled" reins...but that seems to be a long way off yet...
@Sevenizz: Seriously? Not one?? I'm as big an Xbox fan as most others, and have been since I switched from the PS1 to the OG Xbox, but come on - there must be at least one?
Just looking at Berrlett's list below, I'd love to play Horizon Zero Dawn, Unchartered, TLOU, and maybe the Spiderman game. Also NMS used to be on that list - although I've played it since and although I was initially hugely impressed, that feeling didn't last and I re-sold it after about 40 hours or so.
It's fine to have a favourite, nothing wrong with that at all, but that shouldn't blind you to other opportunites...
