Tis a problem I've noticed too. Its really bad when I play on my bigger, older tv through an RF switch, but sitll a problem on the shinier new one. Lost Planet was really bad, couldn't ever read any of the text on the PDA.

Also, since I have roommates, and thin walls, I often turn the volume down, and have to rely on subtitles for story and information from whomever is talking to my character, most of which goes unread, as I just cant squint that hard.

Also, Lost planet, had white subtitle. Hmm, snowplanet, white background, white text. No contrast issues at all there. I hated having to look at some object to be able to read anything.

And last I was checked, i had 20-20 right eye, and marginally less in left eye.
