Since the release of the Supernintendo, people have had a lot of expectations for nintendo systems to follow.

Unfortunately Nintendo's original characters are the only thing that have kept the N64 alive, and it was practically that way for the gamecube as well.

I'm not totally clear on the story that lost Nintendo the 3rd party Giants like Capcom and Konami, but so far it's not looking like the Nintendo Wii is going to be any different than the Gamecube and the N64; It's going to be another Nintendo system that plays Nintendo games, and the 3rd parties will be making thier epic games for the higher power systems.

But, I still think it's worth $300 just to have Smash Bros.

So, a lot of games have the infamous time wasting tool we all know as "Back tracking."

You know, where you have to go to the same old area once again to solve a puzzle. Or when you have to go half way through some monster infested area only to find out that you don't have the key to continue through the dungeon, but you had to go half way through for one reason or another before you could actually get the key.

I think the most annoying backtrack in the history of gaming is in Final Fantasy 1. You know, the earth cave, where you have to go half way through, 3 levels down, to fight the Vampire, get the Star Ruby, and then work your way back up those 3 levels to get the item that you needed to get to the fourth, andfifthfloors of the dungeon. All this is done before you're able to learn the exit spell so you can at least shave off going through those floors a third time.

It's totally lame.

What do you think the most annoying backtrack is?

I liked Kirby Superstar.

It was fun for its day.

But I thought it was a little too easy for me to rush back and play it.

That said though, they should release it before Smash Bros. Brawl comes out since many of the SB concepts origonated in this game.

mario party 5 hate this gamepatriots2871

I'd say it was the worst of the series. I'm not sure how they did it, but they took all the annoying elements from the previous games and managed to amplify them to thier limit.

What's the best money you spent on a video game? And what's the worst money you've spent on a video game? (This includes PC games)

My best is Warcraft 3. I've played that game so much, and I love DOTa. Best $30 I've ever spent.

My worst is World of Warcraft. I played it a lot, but it was more frustration and torture than it was fun (The fun did come, but it was a long distance between the joys in that game.) Worst $200+ I ever spent.

If the virtual console would expand into Arcade Games, I'd like to see most of the NES ports on the VC as well (The arcade versions, like Donkey Kong.)

But mostly I'd like to see the D&D arcade game ported over. That's a sweet game.

I need some clarification that wasn't covered in the PS3 FAQ.

Here are my questions -

I read that the 40 gig PS3 does not play old games. The others do. Is this correct?

How much is the special Adapter for the PS3 to use old Memory Cards?

Does the PS3 play PS1 games?

The FAQ stated that therewill belimited compatibility, but in other places I read that pretty much every game works fine. Which is it?

And finally: Will I be able to replace my PS2 and all of its capabilities if I bought a PS3?

If you can point me in the direction of where to find a copy of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner or tell me when it is going to be re-released I would love it. Been looking for a copy of that game for about a year now (I'd like to also point out I don't like buying things online, so no eBay or Amazon).foxhound_fox

I have that one. I found it for $10 at a mom and pop music store. Unfortunately it's one of the ones I still pick up and play on a regular basis.

If you don't like buying things online, go to California. I hear those guys are always trading thier games in.

Diddy Kong Racing (N64)

Doey77

It may be a while on this one. They just re-released it on the DS, so...

But then again they re-released Mario 64 on the DS too. You never know.
