From an outside prospective I'd say its because you allow Christianity and religion in general to play a pivitol role in your politics.

The U.S in the 1920's-1950's had free college i think, but something happenedgrowingabeard

People voted in Republicans.... From an outside prospective everyone in Europe wonders how on earth they actually win elections.

If they ran in any European country they would lose horribly. Even the democrats arn't Liberal enougth for most European countries.

Im leave for University next month and the British goverment is giving me £3,180 towards my living costs, A £1,750 grant for being dyslexic for computer equipment, books etc. and a loan of £3,559 intrest free, and the pay my fee's of around £1,820. And I'm not exactly poor to begin with so It's not as expensive as the education in America. Thats why America has such low social mobility, due to obscene cost of health, Education etc.

Of coarse the University's in the Uk are heavily subsidised by the Goverment...... The horror's of socialism *Cougth sarcasim*.

It's a Packard Bell EasyNote_LJ61-RB-010UK running on Vista

AMD Turion processor X-2 dual core RM-72

4GB RAM

We like are healthcare system so much that Winston Churchill lost an election because He didn't support it.

It has its flaws but it works very well... I've experienced both the NHS and American health systems (I got lyme disease in a long stay in NY state) and can Honestly say the diffrence is almost non-existant definatly not something I would pay as much as Americans currently have to pay in insurance when comapred to the NHS.

But the NHS needs reform its the same as it was in 1947 whilst society has changed, But its on the list of goverment priorities to fix .... If only people would stop letting Labour in and voted Liberal.

I also don't see why Americans are so opposed to socialism.... It's been very effective in Western Europe.

Also to the guy who says Healthcare isn't a right, Under your argument Eithers Education.

-Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T4200

-3GB Ram

-Graphics Card TypeMobile Intel Graphics 4500mTo enable images to be displayed on your monitorGraphics Memory1320 MBThe higher the memory the better quality images you are display

Of which I've no clue what the Graphics memory/type means so I have no idea about its capabilities.
