@spoochy: You can extrapolate the argument out and look at the precedent. Would you kill someone to donate 100 billion dollars to charity? To me, this isn't a difficulty question. In the heat of the moment, I may not have my wits fully about me, but there would never be a premeditated plan in my mind, to kill another human. For any reason. I'd rather die.
Other people like to phrase this question: “Would you go back in time and kill baby Hitler?” Again, another very easy “No” from me. Dystopian alternative timelines aside, I just think we're better as a species than inventing time travel to go back and murder innocent children.
Not only does evil in the name of good, poison the resulting good forever, but it's incredibly unstable, unsustainable, and seductive.
