Umm... I don't actually care which one,
or whether it's a remake or not.
All I care about is that it's good.

I like good games.
I don't like bad games.

Simple really.

GameSpot gave The Medium a 9/10.
Once again higher than any reviewer on YouTube.
The game was slow, repetitive, and shallow. A 6 or 7 is how everyone averages out.
Its only positives being some level of intrigue in the story (which is ultimately unsatisfying),
and nice environmental (both worlds) design, which never changes all the way through.
A very short game (also not mentioned in the review),
and one with no additional content of any kind (also not mentioned in the review).
I'm sure it's a coincidence that every time this happens on GameSpot
(and I do mean every time)
the protagonist is black or female or both.

Bloober Team has yet to impress me with anything they've done,
and Konami kills everything it touches.
It's also a very bad sign that they're starting with SH2 instead of SH1.
It's not looking good to say the least.

They're advertising it to make you think
that you can swap the sticks to be symmetrical (PlayStation style) if you want.
But you can't.
Despite the deliberate design, name, and laughable RRP,
you cannot change the layout of this controller.

These guys are out for a quick and easy buck.
Don't support them by buying anything they're selling.

Here's Amazon's AI-generated synthesis of its user reviews:

“Customers like the quality of the video game controller. They say it has amazing sticks that can be swapped out. They do, however, have concerns about stick drift and performance. They mention that the controls stopped responding and working properly after only 5 months. Customers also complain about the comfort, saying the controller feels horrible and hurts their hands to use.”

Not a single reviewer on YouTube gave this game a 10/10.
Not one. And I've watched over a hundred.

Here are some of the complaints frequently mentioned:

• the player character walks so slowly that exploring becomes a chore.
• the mind place is shallow, artificial, and poorly executed, becoming tedious long before the end.
• the combat is simplistic and repetitive.
• the game takes way too long to actually get going, absolutely murdering replay value.
• the camera is way too close in tight spaces
• visual distortions and a massive red smear when you're low health mean you can hardly even see.
• there's way too many cheap jumpscares, just a 2D image that covers the game over and over.
• the plot generates more questions than it answers, with an unsatisfying ending.

And that's not even to mention the numerous run-ending bugs players are finding.

Now also consider that just as NVIDIA are bemoaning the fact
that they can't get players to move off their 10-series cards
a game shows up that everyone was anticipating for a decade,
and guess what, it runs virtually unplayably on 10-series cards.
Not on the unpopular 20-series cards. No, just the 10-series and earlier.
Why?
Because of a new rendering technique that not only cripples performance,
but cannot be disabled in a settings menu like everything else, for some reason.
No, not even on the lowest settings are you allowed to have fun on your 10-series
card.
How odd.
And what score does this game get?
Why a perfect score of course.
but, only from the largest of corporations, not from any independent reviewers.

Then add to that, that Epic requires you to be connected to their servers at all times
to play the 100% offline single-player game. Without even an excuse given.
Yet another fact that wasn't mentioned in the GameSpot review,
despite the fact they are known for mentioning it in their reviews of other games.

There was a lot of dirty money passed around surrounding this game and its release.
That much is just obvious for anyone willing to look.
GameSpot was just another back-scratcher waiting in line.

@BluegrassJack: I think that means you're some kind of literary genius.

The only vague interest I have in Wonder Woman
is seeing what Gal Gadot (and the writers) bring to her character in the DCU.

I somewhat enjoyed that aspect of the first film,
and thought the second film was beyond saving.

I have absolutely no interest in the character per se,
her allies, her enemies, her magical glowing objects, or any of the action between them.
All of that is boring and generic and doesn't interest me in the least,
and I don't know why anyone would want to play it in a video game.

@astrokidwell: In what ways is Stewart less “leftist” compared to before?
And Musk and Trump
have only become increasingly unhinged with age.
Everything is falling apart for them recently.

It's a really good refresh.
Literally every component has been improved,
including the storage capacities, for the same price.
The only thing it doesn't have,
is any more performance at all, it's really Steam Deck 1.5

But still,
Valve once again proves that unlike almost every other large corp,
they actually give a s***.
