@treechopper88: There's not a single dedicated YouTube reviewer who gives this game a 10/10. Not one. Which was definitely not the case with GameSpot's last two perfect-scored games. As everyone who bought this game after GameSpot's misleading review is now finding out: • you have to suffer through the Epic Games Store, also meaning... • ...you need an always-online connection to play a single-player game. • the player character walks so slowly that exploring becomes a chore. • the mind place is poorly executed and becomes incredibly tedious. • the combat is simplistic and repetitive. • the game takes way too long to actually get going, killing replay value. • the camera is way too close in tight spaces • with visual distortions and a massive red smear when you're low health and you can hardly even see. • there's way too many cheap jumpscares that don't even happen in 3D, they're just an image that covers the game over and over. • And that's not even to mention the numerous run-ending bugs players are finding.
Neither the user Metacritic reviewer score nor player score cracked 9/10. The Epic Games Store doesn't allow players to give scores. The game gets 10/10 and absolutely no real player agrees with, just like the last 10/10 with playable black female protagonist GameSpot gave.
Also it's an EGS exclusive, Epic being is notorious for shady practices.
Also this game just so happens to run like s*** on NVIDIA 10-series cards, because it forces a rendering method that 10-series cards can't do. The equally-dirty-handed NVIDIA was lamenting that they couldn't get their players to upgrade away from their 10 series cards. Coincidence after coincidence. This game and its launch are totally filthy.
But keep your head in the sand if you want to. It's not like I want to see your face.
