@mogan: To say it's all cheaters is tantamount to a lie.
There's no way to come to that conclusion.
There's cheaters to the degree that
you may find one a week if you play an hour a day
and are having bad luck.

I've been playing CS since the first month of CS: Source.
Half-Life 2 was my first Steam game, and CS: Source was my second.
I got really good at it while I was in high school,
better than I ever thought I'd be at a competitive multiplayer game.
I remember I was using my old chonky Logitech G5 that whole time.

But when CS:GO came out, there were a number of changes at the start,
that I really didn't like, and even though most of them are reverted now,
I just never really got into it, and therefore never that good at it.

For that reason I'd definitely like to try CS2 out
and see if I can find a reason to like and get good at Counter-Strike again.

So they called it “Counter-Strike 2” after all.

Still, it looks very similar with mainly big QoL changes.

That thing was a huge deal when it came out.
It's like calling your game, Aliens: Modern Warfare.

but if that's so obvious
then why does Sony waste their time and money on these at all?

I'm no lawyer,
but how can you argue that a potential risk both “isn't plausible”
AND
has already happened multiple times?
