Mortal Kombat II is the only one here with a cover that could've been released today. It looks stylish, understated, and powerful. I can only imagine how exciting it would've been at the time.
I can't remember what it was like to choose your games often based entirely on cover art.
@lordbeefjerky: Probably just didn't like Ashley going into a bin and Luis admiring her “ballistics”, so decided to write a review and get revenge. That seems to be how it goes these days.
Shadow Man: The Chronicles of Reddick. I can't say I was a particular fan. I could barely remember his name most of the time, but his presence on screen was fantastic. Every time I saw him in something it was a treat. RIP Lance. I'll see you Deadside.
@santinegrete: Oh you're right. I did forget a fourth categroy: d) People who wanted to support the devs financially anyway. Even mid-to-large studios can have their country invaded I suppose.
But you can always use GOG and store the game on a USB stick. Doesn't get much better than that.
@olddadgamer: . I think they'll largely leave romanticised literary works alone. But we've still a long way to go for movies. No movie that started as a movie is off the table.
I was going to write, “I wouldn't put it past them to make Passion of the Christ 2.” But paused for a moment, and decided to look it up first. ... And sure enough they're releasing exactly that next year. Jesus Christ. Literally. That movie started as a Family Guy joke ffs.
