@hardwenzen: I agree, but that's what made RE4 (2005) pretty easy, even on Professional. Every other door had green “Open” text, and a loading screen, which acted as a checkpoint. So you never had to replay more than about a minute. Easy as it was, I still liked it. I just don't have time or patience to replay the same easy sections over and over these days.
@maryjane1983: It is. A lot harder. The aggression and moveset of the enemies makes the 2005 ganados look like they're standing still by comparison. The original altered the AI heavily depending on where the camera was pointed. That doesn't seem to be the case this time around, from what I can see.
But then again the original game was also hardest at the start. And that was kind of intentional. The village fight was a big deal back in 2005.
Apart from a few blips though, the difficulty curve was pretty flat in the original.
If you want a movie full of huge monster action, stay away from big-name actors, because the studio paid big money for the big name, and they're going to try and make the most of it by putting him on screen all the time, which is probably not what you're paying for. That's the case most of the time anyway.
Deliberately avoiding the word “mod” to mislead readers so they'll click on the article and you can get the money, before they realise what they've clicked on. Typical trashy GameSpot.
Whatever the case, there will definitely be a mode harder than the regularly-available hardest mode offered in the demo. That's 100% sure. It won't be called “Mad Chainsaw” though; the demo says as much. It also has a secret TMP.
T2: How can we sqeeze more out of these pricks for no investment? I know! A BS patch that claims to make things better but makes them worse. Genius. T2: Obsidian, you're going to push out this BS patch and charge $10 for it, then give all those $10 directly to us. OB: >:( T2: Also I'm taking this opportunity to remind you that in that contract you signed, you're not allowed to say anything bad about us, for any reason. Got it? Good. OB: Hi everyone... here's... here's a patch... I mean... a great new patch. It's... it's uh... only $10. Everyone: Dafuq is this!? T2: Obsidian! How could you!? I mean really! First the 2K Launcher now this?? What has gotten into you lately? Obsidian! Apologise to the nice boys and girls! OB: >:(
I don't play Smash but it certainly sounds like a dumb inclusion. Too many devs of long-running series these days, are just adding in crap for the sake of adding it. Their logic is, “worse is better than same” and it's really frustrating. I feel the same about the direction Mortal Kombat has taken.
Here's the link to the trip in question, btw: shorturl (dot) at/jpzI6
The fact that they made it a paid upgrade is what's keeping people safe from putting this crap on their game. A free update would've probably been downloaded automatically.
