Pity. Aragami was a fantastic game. And I was continually surprised by it in my first playthrough, and it's rare I try to 100% all the achievements, but I just found Aragami's gameplay so satisfying and addictive.
Aragami 2 was just a different game, and not really what I think the fans of the first were after. To the degree that the backlash was strong enough that the devs released a new mode for the game that completely overhauled it into a more direct sequel.
It was too little too late though, and the number of reviews for Aragami 2 on Steam, are less than a quarter of that of Aragami. As of [2023-03-08], it's a crippling 2,198 reviews to 8,933 and sitting at 74% to the original's 90%, for a budget that was probably triple that of the first game's. Sad to see them go. They had some real talent.
@rizenstrom: I thought this was idiot-proof but I guess certain people always need extra help.
The link to the article on the homepage never mentions “Fanatical”, even though the article is about Fanatical, because they know no-one likes Fanatical sales, so they hide it until you click so they can make their money.
Once again making sure not to mention Fanatical until the reader has clicked on it, to keep GameSpot users in the dark until you've made the money. Slimy business tactics, GameSpot.
“Counter-Strike 2” is not real, and is based on a datamined executable titled “cs2.exe” that is years old, potentially even older than Global Offensive.
What's coming around the corner is an engine switch update, which has been delayed for so long, precisely because they're trying to keep the game the same.
Steven did you really not even watch Tyler's video on the topic before posting this clickbait title?
