@louixiii: the drm would've been a good thing for most xb1 consumers.
We would've had single play games that would've taken advantage of cloud processing. The gaming industry would've been much more advanced by now and the ps4 pro maybe would've adopted cloud processing and has superior single player experiences.
Only problem is that you'd need to be online for it to work.
We chose being able to share games and play offline over the 8th Gen and amazing games.
That's just how I see it now that time gas passed and have seen cloud processing in action.

Why play inferior versions of 95 percent of games?
Just to enjoy a few half decent ps4 exclusives. Which no good ones will come out this year. Even after we get everything we saw in the last 5 e3s we probably won't get any more till ps5.
The best option is to buy a used ps4 for around 100 bucks and also a scorpio. That way you can have the best versions of the games you play and still enjoy those ps4 exclusives.
I would recommend a pc but that's a different story.
@joshrmeyer: cross play with pc gamers is nothing new to this Gen, last gen, or even the one before.
The big news here is that Nintendo is allowing cross play with every platform.
If you tether your switch to your 4G lte cellphone you can play with you pc friends or Xbox friends.
You can play minecraft with someone on a cellphone.
You just won't be able to play with anyone on Playstation. Sony may change their mind before it makes them look bad. If they are for the gamer then why not let us play with who ever we want. It's obvious that every other platform is open to cross play.
It confirms that cross play between consoles hasn't happened because of Sony, now that Nintendo has invited Microsofts invitation.
If you think all multiplat games will look the same or run the same you need to watch this.
If you think the xb1x is useless and does the same thing as the ps4 pro and runs the same games at almost the same quality you need to watch this if you haven't already.
@joshrmeyer: having the best performing console leading into a new gen will trick the mass market casuals that one brand is better than the other. Casuals don't know how many ps4 consoles have been sold and no one knows how many xb has sold.
All they'll know for the rest of the gen is that games run best on Xbox 1x.
That'll go a long way at the beginning of next gen. You can get a ps5 in 2019 or you can get an xb 2020 with double the power of the ps5. I am buying a ps5 day one but some might want to wait for the better experience since.
Here is the first proof that Xbox 1x can and may run games vastly superior compared to the ps4 pro.
Last time I checked the ps4 pro is running the game at 1080p 45fps average. It's not bad at all and way better than the base ps4 and xb1, but you can't compare it to the x1x version.
Check it out. I believe the x1x is running this game at the highest pc setting at 4k 60fps. Something that is impossible on the ps4 pro even if it's the same game and devs.
@yukushi: here is the first real proof that multiplat games can and may be superior to the ps4 pro versions. The Xbox 1x can run that game at the pcs highest setting possible at 60fps 4k. Something that is simply "not possible on the ps4 pro."
Ps4 pro is running this game at 1080p 45fps with the same medium settings as the ps4.
This developer straight up said that the Xbox 1x is 50 percent more powerful.
The Xbox 1x may flop but it won't stop me from enjoying the very best experience available to consoles.
Xbox itself is not a word. iKnow they are together in the name but that doesn't mean it's abbreviated with the same letter. If that was true the Playstation 4 would just be called the P4.
