If your not afraid of voiding your warrently just take it apart and reseat the heatsink. Makes it work again just fine. Dont do that unless your absolutely 100% sure you want to though. I dont reccomend you do it if youve never assembled a computer or switched out a processer. Cali3350

Thanks for the info but I'm not going to chance it. I'm just sooo pissed right now! I feel like throwing my xbox360 out the window! However, I wont because I really do love it. It's an amazing console but its built very poorly. I just cant believe it. I keep turning it on hoping in vain that it will work.....but it doesnt. I have the entire Thanksgiving weekend to just look at my xbox360 dreaming about playing the cool games I just bought. Damn I'm pissed!

This is the second xbox360 I'm on. The first one lasted me for about a year and this one for about another year. It was working just fine with NO problems and then for no reason when I tried to turn it on this morning...the red lights came on! I LOVE my xbox360 but I'm just sooo pissed right now. On to top it all off when I called xbox customer service I could barely understand what he was saying...very thick accent! They also told me it was going to take 3-4 business weeks for it to be fixed. I just bought assassins creed and Mass Effect. I can't tell you how pissed I am!

BioWare has always had glitches and bugs in their games; KotOR had just as many as Mass Effect, and look what it scored.

I'm a little disappointed in GS.

Ok, I see you're point. However, is there a reason why Bioware almost always has these types of problem in there games? Do they not understand the hardware they are working with? Do they not have enough time to finish the game? What is it? Why do they continue to struggle with framerate problems?

I dont own the game yet but will be picking it up tomorrow. I played it at my friends house today and even I noticed the glitches. sad to say, butat times the were pretty bad. The rest of the game is just amazing...just amazing. However, the graphical glitches IMO really bring the game down. I don't know about the rest of you guys but I'm really disappointed in Bioware. What is it with them abd poor framerates and other graphical glitches? They just never seem to get it right with any of there games.

I dont know much about game designing so please, anyone smarter that me,know why they continue to struggle with these issues? I just dont get it. Bioware claimed that they spent the last few months so they could optimize the game. How did all these glithces make it into the game. Some review sites are saying this is the most glitched filled game they have ever reviewed. I'm just really disappointed in Bioware right now.

I honestly think that we should demand ANY game from ANY company on ANY system not to have the problems described in the reviews, regardless of the site that reviews them. I have read other reviews and I know the game is great, I'm sure I can look past the problems, it's just that I don't understand why a game like this would have them. Not being able to justify them... I BLAME EA!!! :twisted:teufelherz

I could not agree more. Bioware said for the past few months that they were "polishing" the game and there are still these glitches in the game? what a joke!

I only own a xbox360 and will not buy any of ther other systems. I'm a huge fan of Microsoft and the xbox brand. With that being said, with all the technical problems Mass Effect is said to have, I feel that it deserves the score it got. I'm sure it's epic as can be but to have as many technical problems as it does after being developed for as long as it has andon such a powerful system, there is NO excuse for all the problems it has.

What the heck has Bioware been doing for the past 4 years and the past few month in particular when they said they were working on optimizing the game? How did all these bugs make it into the game? I just don't knowwhy bioware almost always seems to struggle with framerate and other such graphicalissues with there games. Next time they may want to hire someone with a better understanding of the hardware they are working on. I'm one lemming that is glad that GS had enough balls to mark it down for such an insane amount of glitches. There is no way a game should be AAA status and game of the year material with these types of problems. Come on Bioware...get these things taken care of before you release the darn game! Geeesh!

Everyone hating on it, why dont you just leave? Do us all a favorSnowboarder99

I don't even own a PS3 and will not be buying the game. I just have an issue with Gamespot taking so long to review games. Plus I was getting on that other guys case because he was saying how good the game was going to be just based on the trailers of the game. Now thats just lame.

[QUOTE="neversummer75"]Where the heck is the uncharted review? I just think they procrastinate until the very end and are late most of the time with there reviews. Very unprofessional!GodLovesDead

Uncharted is coming? I'll tell you right away, it's AA. Just look at the game's trailers. Not that great, but not that bad.

You can tell if a game is going to be great or notallbasedthe trailers? Wow....you're a tool!

Their reviews come out latter because they have some of the strictest policies for reviewing games in the business

Many, many review sites will work with *unfinished* copies of games, which GS will not do. They review the *retail copy* that you will play when you buy the game, to ensure they're giving you an accurate picture of any issues that may exist, or content you might enjoy.

Gamespot is also *very big* on finishing games before reviewing them. You need only look at their Assassin's Creed review versus sites like IGN (read Penny-Arcade's comments on the issue first) to understand what happened. You can see the sites that didn't finish AC before reviewing it - the sites that rushed, and didn't take their time. They're the sites that scored it low.

As games get more "content filled" more "sandbox" and more "online MMO, explorative, co-op, multiplayer" it will take *longer* to give these types of games a fair review. They're not something you can sit down and play for eight hours straight, beat, and give an honest opinion on. And that's okay, I -want- the reviewer to take their time.

The only people who want reviews out weeks before a game comes out are foaming-at-the-mouth review-score junkie fanboys. For everyone else, patience is a virtue - I'd rather wait a week after a game comes out, get a variety of trusted reviews (read them), talk to people who are playing the game, et cetera, if it is a game I am uncertain about.subrosian

Wrong...people that want reviews before the game come out are people that don't want to waist good money on a game that isn't good. I for one have a lifedon't spend all my money on video games. I have a strict budget on what I spend on video games every year and will only buy games that deserve it. I depend on video game reviews as an indicator if a game is worth my hard earned money or not. Geta clue buddy!
