Well its not one of the brand names so be wary about the quality of the panel i.e. smearing, ghosting, motion blur and glare. The reviews on that site seem positive but a 32" for 299 is just plain suspicious. I too was recently searchin for a LCD at 350 or less but the biggest size i could find from brand names in and around that price was a 23 inch so im saving for a bigger size. So again do more research before buying. If you get a crappy LCD it will be apparent in every signal you give it.

But you forgot to mention the amount of stuff you can do on LIVE that you can't do in PSN. Price has nothing to do with this. If you can't afford $50 a year payment you should have some other things to worry about.

Iceman8012

Price has alot to do with this when I add to the debate everything that PSN has coming.

...... it soley depends on the TV, look for those that have "processor" whatever "Improves TV picture at any resolution" bla bla bla.jasper061992

In my quest for a decent tv i cant say ive seen a tag line of that sort before. What am i lookin for exactly? is it the Pixel Plus/Bravia engine type or something else?

As the title asks. Ive heard it a million times but ultimatley im goin to get a LCD and im goin to play my ps2 on it. ATM i would be happy with a 20" or a 40" since my tv atm is like less that 12" [Horizontal, about 15 diagonal] So the deciding factor here becomes; which size is more bareable for SD?

If Nintendo's next console improves on the technology and functionality of motion-controlled gaming while including next-gen graphics, an HDD and expanded online functionality..

They'll annihilate the competition..

EnigManic

If that were true then PS3 would be "annihilating the competition" as we speak since the PS3 expanded on the graphics, the HDD, the online functionality .......and the motion controlled gaming =D since the PS2. Also going by the current trend the statement is proved wrong twice over....since people are STILL eating up the PS2 so next gen expect everyone to continue to buy the Wii while "Wii too" struggles. If we all hate seeing the Wii sell so much then its going to be a sad sad day when the Wii exclusive "monster hunter" drops....

Yea in case you forgot that thing is selling like as if it were free in japan.

If your goin for an extended cable then its best to get a slightly more expensive cable, slightly more expensive than the cheapest that is so safe gaurd against signal degradation. Other than that probably the only spec to take into considerations would be the AWG rating, 24AWG being desirable.
