Loving how the best game on PSP is over ten years old!

Yeah I'm typing this as the mighty FINAL FANTASY VII is about to install on PS3 and as much as I'd like to say its going STRAIGHT to my PSP, its not

I ordered a 4GB Memory Stick at the same time which will hopefully come Saturday, my pitiful 2GB won't fit it and my all important music and Rayman

So when that DOES happen, it will officially be the best game on PSP. Second best being the PREQUEL.

May sound like I'm on a massive fanboy rant (I'm on a rant all the time about basically ALL of E3 and gaming as a passion right now though) but FFVII is deserving of all the critical acclaim. It has excellent pacing, throwing plot twists and shockers, as well as mixed and varied gameplay that always keeps you on your toes. The excellent backgrounds and music create an awesome atmosphere second to none in an RPG (including my fave, FFX) and the growth system always makes me wanna pick it up and level up that spell, or find that new weapon or secret summon. And now I can do it on the go as well. :D:D:D I am a very happy boy

Although I am probably spending way too much money ATM. I spent 25 quid on VII & Memory Stick as well as 15 on Advent Children Complete on BLU RAY (too bad it doesn't come with a digital copy of VII :( ) and Final Fantasy V Advance on GBA. I'm having a huge FF blowout now XIII is getting ever closer and XIV is on the horizon. Plus I need to finish Mario Galaxy and START Metroid 3.

I also NEED a job again, soon. I spent bugger all last month but made up for that and more this month so things aren't looking to good for me, espescially as I want inFamous, God Of War III, Fat Princess and more when they come out. So I need to push to finish what I've got already first. Final Fantasy wise I need to finish II, III (on last boss), IV (near end), V, VIII (near end) and at least my first playthough of X-2 attempt at 100% (finished game before but want 100%)

I also think I'm (tragically) going to sell Wii Fit and Fallout. Not (just) because of finance but no one in my family uses Wii Fit (which was the plan) and Fallout didnt grab me at all. But why focus on the past, when, as E3 showed the future looks so...

O. M. G. (My catchphrase)

So, if you've got FFVII on PSN, or want to make an opinion on anything mentioned above, PLEASE GO AHEAD

E3 proves SONY RULES!

Having watched Nintendo and SONY's E3 presentation online at IGN.com I can safely say I love being a gamer!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen Microsofts YET so forgive me but I HIGHLY DOUBT it'll top SONY, no matter how less sexual their motion control is and how awesome you think (the MULTIPLAT) Modern Warfare 2 is.

Nintendo's was exactlty as I expected, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and a new Metroid. What's looks more cool is New Super Mario Bros Wii, the multiplayer looks excellent. And English trailer for Kingdom Hearts 385/2 has totally whet my appetite for September. I must say their presenters were a bit souless, even Reggie (who usuallymoans about everything SONY and MS do) but demoed the games well.

SONY I must say know how to put on a SHOW! With various hosts and gaming legends (Kojima) coming onto the stage backed by Queen (not live though) was a great move, really gave off the aura SONY is a titan in the gaming world.

Although everyone knew about the PSP go! (made for great jokes) the presentation was superb, and theclips of games on offer showed off what the console could really do, I don't think people have been excited about the handheld since its release.

Then came to what we didn't know: New RockStar title, an excellent trailer from teamICO that looked as if it was set in the same world as Shadow of the Colossus and ModKart Racers (or something like that) which carries on LBPs fantastic approach of playing, creating and sharing. If SONY carry on making these types of games for different genres then it will truly set them as gamings greatest innovators. And then there was THAT announcement.....

FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE

-EXCLUSIVE TO PS3-

OK so XI wasn't the best game ever but a very well done example of a genre I don't particularly like for being too confusing and requiring a large investment of time, money (and a decent PC, or 360). I have high hopes for this one, espescially as it has a 2010 release window for the US, the same year as XIII; which was in ENGLISH. Damn, I can't wait till next year!

Damn Revision

Ok so I've got the BIGGEST. EXAMS. EVER. of My LIFE! (so far) but damn, this revision I'm doing (which I AM doing, for once) is cutting into my gaming time

Even though I hardly ever went on it; my Wii has been untouched and will be for a while now. I only go on the PS3 to check my LittleBIGplanet updates (CHECK OUT MY NEW LEVEL: CLIMB COLOSSUS, its a toughie) I only need like 2 more plays on my Quick Jog level for a Silver Trophy as well.

Basically all I'm playing now is Final Fantasy II on PSP, trying to do the last few dungeons on FFIV (when my Mum gets off the DS) and the amazing GOD OF WAR II and METAL GEAR SOLID 3 on PS2. I know GoWII is quite short and I believe MSG3 is, I've only just met EVA. I admit I had to start again on EASY coz I couldn't get used to the controls. I'm too used to MSG4.

I Say 'Little' You Say 'Planet' - 'LittleBigPlanet' its tha DJ Planet

Anyone who watched Britain's Got Talent will get that, yeh basically this is a blog nagging you play my LBP levels, heart them and me so I can get my mitts on more trophies.

My PSN is JoeNDM

My level is: Quick Jog LittleBIGplanet style!

I have one called Trophy Level which doesn't have as many so go for the Quick Jog one, I need nine more hearts I think so search for it and me, I'll play your levels and heart them and you in return!

The Power of the 2s

This is a blog just to say that I'm Level 22 and how orgasmiscally amazing Killzone 2 is and I've rediscovered how excellent the PS2 is.

Level 22 is Blaster Master, what's it off anyone?

Yeah I'm loving Killzone 2. Offline I'm on Mission 5. It's challenging and I really enjoying it. Online is just immense, definately the smoothest online I played (LBP online is super laggy for me and Burnout can be) and I'm a clan leader, so I play a lot of friendly matches with headset banter.

My PlayStation 3 and Wii are connected to the giant living room HD so I don't always get to go on them. My brother is glued to Mario Kart :(Plus he'salways being a nosy snot, I can't really play Killzone until he's in bed, or any game online with the headset because people always interrupt me.

So, I dug out my old PS2 and set up the old living room Widescreen in my room, and have rediscovered the fun of quiet, interrupted gaming. My collection has waned recently to 24 games due to trading in for Wii & PS3 stuff, but I've got 8 games that I want to play and finish (some finish again) so it looks like the World's Most Popular Console has got me back under its grip. I'm playing

Kingdom Hearts (again, I'm playing this most to finish the main story. I've completed everythign else before, I just want to fight dark Riku again)

Canis Canem Edit (had this since Xmas 06 and I'm only on Chapter 3, will finish after KH, want to finish)

Metal Gear Solid 3 (only bought in January and I'm not very far, taking a while to get used to after MSG4)

Rogue Galaxy (had since release and still searching for Third Key Piece, really need to finish)

Metal Gear Solid 2 (same as MSG3 but never played yet)

Kingdom Hearts II (picking up with my Hard Mode save and in Agrabah 1st time, want to fight the Org again mostly)

Final Fantasy X (should be getting last few Celestial Weapons and Stat Maxing to beat Dark Aeons, but I can't be bothered to honest. Don't have the patience)

Oh and I'm going through a big X-Men nerd phase atm and re-bought X-Men Legends so I'll power throught that after KHI probably. Damn addictive PS2.

Can't get it right every time, that's where you come in

OK so yeah this is a blog all about games but this is Gamespot so there you go

Right been blowing my final few work paychecks on t'internet and got a few new awesome games

God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP (second best PSP game after Crisis Core)

Killzone 2 on pre-order

Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Soild 3: Snake Eater on PS2, these were for work, a fiver each. Would've liked the Subsistence version of MSG3 but it was 15 pounds, I don't think so

Final Fantasy II 20th Anniversary Edition PSP (hopefully I'll finish it this time, another one for the collection)

I also got an Official PS3 Headset and I've been enjoying playing Burnout Paradise online with some (well one) mate from school, my cousin and almost with a group of people from forums (not GameSpot ones though) and I've got the Platinum Trophy, in fact I've got them all except for the Party Pack

I also got Lily Allen's new album It's Not Me, It's You but its not a game. But its absolutely amazing :)

But as it is in life, not all my "great purchases" turn out as great as I expect. I've also got Fallout 3 which has had great reviews and my friends have been banging on about it. It looked intriguing and really good but when I started playing it..

I HATE IT!!! I can't stand the movement and the shooting feels so awkward and clunky. The character models look crap and the apparently striking graphics look rubbish (even on a 50inch 1080p HD TV, though I don't think the game is 1080p) and I'm just not liking it. At all. I've tried picking it up again but I'm not finding anything I like here so I think I'm gonna sell/trade it in. Trading in might be a good idea, I should get around/above a tenner for it and I've got a £5 off voucher plus reward card so I'll probably get a game for 25 quid or under.

I've got a few ideas, well criteria so any advice?

A new Wii game would be good, I know I've not finished Super Mario Galaxy (I want to relish every moment of it) but I've got no other solid 1 player games (apart from Smash Bros and Mario Kart one player modes) but I'm looking at either Zelda: Twilight Princess or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

But I don't know if thats a bit pointless as I hardly ever play on my Wii at all, and I'd like a good, solid PS3 game (one player) thats a bit different from the great Prince of Persia now I've finished MSG4 until KZ2 arrives. Any ideas? I don't think I want another shooter, and not a sowrd-action games, I've yet to finish PoP and I'm still lending DMC4. Hmmm difficult.

Why can't I be happy with what I've got? Oh yeah, coz I have money (for now)

If anyone cares I lost my job @ GAME and a Wii

OK so this is a miserable, moany blog and they're not usually my thing. But I'm not feeling very positive atm.

So Christmas came and gone and I haven't been kept on at GAME, which I guess is fair enough they can only keep the people (2 out of 4) who can work the most and does the best during the credit crunch.

But I'm still sad.

Without a job I'm gonna be a lot more bored nowadays. OK so I got school and go out with my friends now and again (but I'll bloody cold) but I had so much fun at work. This sounds cheesy but I loved that job, it made me realise gaming is much more than a hobby than I thought at first, it's a real passion. I loved the people I worked with and sold PS3's to after explaining every aspect of it. But ufortunatly its come to and end and there's a void.

I should go looking for a new job coz I've lost financial security and the freedom to buy what I want but with the recession I dunno how well I'll fare. Thing is, I got mine a month before my friends who got proper part time jobs that'll last for months more. So my friends aren't out all that often now.

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

On a lighter note, I got my Wii for Christmas with Wii Fit (I paid for, me), Wii Play & Sports, Sonic & Secret Rings (from my cousin), Smash Bros, Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Galaxy. I'm lending WarioWare as well plus I've bought the WiiWare games FF Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King and ahem, TV Show King.

I'm desperate, well not desperate but wanting badly some friends to add so my Wii Console Number is 2081 8358 9173 6378 so if you add me then Comment or Message me on here with yours. If anyone's up for a a game of Smash Bros or Mario Kart (Smash players are getting less and less :( now) then beware: I'm deadly with Shiek

So please comment then, I'll comment you back as I'm trying to be sociable again.

Last minute treats for myself plus I need advice

So it's the night (well day) before Christmas and I have more money left over than I thought after buying for everyone so I got 2 new games:

FINAL FANTASY TACTICS A2: Grimoire of the Rift (I did have to look at the box to find out the name) for DS

and

New PRINCE OF PERSIA on PS3

Haven't played much on either of them, PoP is an absolutely BRILLIANT looking game that plays pretty cool; liking the one on one fights, very different. Died about 12 times already, I'm never gonna get the Go Easy on Her Trophy. (Yes Kirk it DOES do Trophies :D)

TACTICS A2 I find a lot like the first one, bit peeved they've re-used all the sprites (they did it in Revenant Wings too :() but the law system is a lot better. Hopefully it'll pick up soon and may become a classic.

Right now advice; GUITAR HERO World Tour. Dunno whether I should get it or not

Played on it Monday night down my cousins on Wii and enjoyed the drums after I started to get used to them but found they really hurt my hands and wrists. Maybe I'm playing it wrong but if I get it I'll probably play on it more and figure how to play it properly and comfortably. Another thing is the songs, I don't particularly like many of them but I'm sure I'll get to.

Biggest problem is: the space. Right now the PS3 is set up to the lush 50 inch HD tele in the living room which has only just been finished and my Dad is a bit skeptical about having it in there (I only got it in there so we can watch Upscaled DVDs and Blu Rays as a family) as he thinks I'll turn it into a games room. The Wii is going and staying in there whether he likes it or not and hopefully the PS3 will stay there.

But if I get the Band Pack, then that'll seem like I AM turning it into a games room (and I'm thinking it will myself) so what do you guys think? Is the game good enough to get to risk losing my PS3 in there.

Thanx in advance for replies.

I may have found the best game ever...

And that game is...

METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns Of The Patriots

and wow, what a game it is. Bought for the bargain price of £15 for my cousin as a birthday present, I knew I had to get another one for myself. And what that the best 15 quid I ever spent? Yes (Take THAT Final Fantasy X)

OK before this I had only played bits of the first Metal Gear Solid on the PSone and found it pretty cool. But I knew bits about the series (like who Big Boss was) thanks to the Official PS2 Magazine (good times) but this is my first owned and properly played MSG Game. And it's blown me away...

So good it's made me nearly forget all about LittleBIGPlanet and my attempt at beating Dark Aeons on FFX, well balls to it. I'm not even into stealth or shooter games that much.

The Wii I'm getting for Christmas with Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart will probably gather dust due to my lust (rhyme) for exploring more of Snake's beautifully created world. If only I could f**king kill Raging Raven.

Oh and my cousins barely touched it. Silly boy. More fool him.

The GameSpot Best of 2008 goes to prove its brilliance. I'm going to relish every moment of it and then numbers 2 and 3 will make me re-dig out my PS2 (further delaying FFX) and Twin Snakes will make me buy loadsa GameCube crap for my Wii (unless it comes out on UK PS Store, take a hint SONY).

Another reason of PS3's brilliance.

Happy Christmas as well everybody.

If anyone cares I got a job @ GAME, PS3 and PSP and I'm 17!

I know no-one reads these blogs so I haven't made one since January but just writing to let you know I got a job at GAME and I just wanted to shout it out. Plus it was my birthday Saturday and combined with a staff discount I got some nice stuff.

I got a PS3 for my exams, 80GB one with 4 games so far; Ratchet & Clank, Burnout Paradise, GHIII and Soulcalibur IV. My PSN is JoeNDM

Got a crappy old PSP dirt cheap off eBay and I love it!!! Finished FF Tactics yesterday and got the amazing Crisis Core as well. Got 5 games altogether.

Why I haven't got more games for these even though I have loads of money is I'M GETTING A WII! not that I don't love my PS3 and PSP I do (their multimedia stuff is great, PSP is my iPod) and my DS still gets use but I really want SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Galaxy amongst others.

Right, lets see if I get any comments...
