Naughty Dog has no problem creating new IP's for every gen. Crash, Jak, and now Drake.

Is it really that difficult?

You're talking as if the SMB platformers are bad. It's the most dependable franchise out there. Since owning the first SMB, I knew, buying a mario platformer was buying a good game. People aren't excited because the game stars mario. People are excited because there has never been a bad mario platformer for over 20 years.

Super Mario Sunshine was the weakest Mario in my mind.  It was still a great game.

It one of the best looking wii game yet, but looking better than mass effect, motorstorm, etc has to be a joke.

If your favorite genre of games is 2d platformer, than it would look better.

Even if I like platformer(which I do) I still think games like mass effect look better.

It depends on your definition of 'looks'.  If someone says an amusement park ride looks awesome, they're not talking about the way it was built.  They're talking about how fun it looks.

IF someone means the graphics look better than Mass Effect, they're nuts.

Super Mario 2 rereleased in 2001 scored 8.2 at Gamespot. 

After owning a 360 for a year, I don't feel the need for a larger hard drive.  I know those who want to dl movies and tv shows will.
