[QUOTE="nnavidson"]The thing about the mod community is I don't have the talent to make something worthwhile. The same is true with many PC players. I figured people make mods because they want people to be impressed with what they've accomplished. i would assume the mod community would gladly expand the people who saw their material if they were able.As far as Vista... What if you want to play Halo 2?Vandalvideo
Share...with a select audience. I myself work on mods all the time. If someone is going to be upity and snooty about it, why should I give them anything? Answer? I won't. Halo 2? A few years old game is your reason for going Vista? 0_o double 0_o

Ok, I guess I mistook the mod community then.

When a writer writes, he writes for everyone, not just other writers.

When an artist completes art, they show it to everyone.

A musician will show off his final work to everyone, not just other musicians.

The same is true with filmmakers.

Granted creative people will only share things within their own community until it's completed, but then end goal is to show it off.

As far as Vista, what about Gears or Viva?

[QUOTE="nnavidson"]PS3 will get mods and mouse/kb support for Unreal, although I'm sure the mods will come from the PC community. A game like Little Big Planet has a map editor built in as a major selling point. The problem with PC's are that they end up being expensive. The start up isn't so bad, but when you have to switch over to Vista just Microsoft says it's needed things get costly. Vandalvideo
Two things, with that attitude you bet your sweet *** the mod community will care less about PS3 owners. You want my content? Give me money fool. As far as PC gaming being expensive goes, thats only by your own volition. SLI 8800GTX and Vista are by no means required.

I hope to see the PC's extras on Xbox 360 in the form on downloadable content, I would gladly pay for it.

TheJuggla17

It'd be the best way to not alienate the 360 fans but Microsoft currently wants it's PC division to push Vista.

Regardless, Microsoft should also consider the millions of Xbox 360 Gear owners as well. I do not wish to upgrade my computer just for some extra content that I could easily get on my Xbox 360.

Like you, there are tons of people who don't want to update their computer. Microsoft stands to make millions though by people upgrading to Vista. That additional content will be held off for a long time assuming it ever comes out. I might be wrong, but Microsoft will go after what makes them the most money.

It looks great. The only thing I don't like is that it's part of this trend where devs who made awesome cartoony platformers on the PS2, take a look at the PS3's graphics and think they have to make something realistic, serious and violent. Yeah, Insomniac, Naughty Dog, I'm talking about you.chutup

Don't hate on Insomniac we get Rachet and Clank this year.

Consoles will never get mods and a map editor because how can i put this without making console gamers sound dumb.....i know i generalise but console gamers will never have those options...NEVER.

Im not saying pcs should or will become mainstream but thats because half the friggin population dont know how to use MS word, let alone how to utilise/comprehend how effective/immersive and more flexible pc gaming is. Its like BUY A CONSOLE-PLUG IT IN-PLAY. PC's have never been like that, nor should they be for the true gamers out there that understand.

5....HAHAHA...Lets hype PC Games now. Wait so Unreal 3 is ownage...lol.

Acenso

I wouldn't make that statement if you're a lemming. Bioshock is the most immediate example I have of why, but I'm sure Lems will be hyping Alan Wake, and that's not to mention exclusives that will eventually find their way on to the PC: Gears, Lost Planet, Viva Pinata, (and safe money on Fable 2 and Mass Effect over time)

If so than xbox has lost its best exclusive. NG was the best xbox had to offer imo and best game last gen behind RE4.elcoholic

And 360 gets RE5 so it all works out.

[QUOTE="smokeydabear076"][QUOTE="BillGates_Money"]soooo since the two games are different doesnt it make both versions exclusives???? just like ninja gaidenBillGates_Money

The original experience for the Xbox 360 is no longer exclusive to the system because people with a PC can have it as well.

but its differnet...with the extra boss battle and the addition of missing parts so couldnt we say they are both exclusives just like ninja gaiden and ninja gaiden sigma

t's not like the 360 version has anything the PC version doesn't have. The PC has all the 360 content plus some more.
