Good, something smart, coming out of your mouth. Or is it fear of the PS3 having the best looking game of the year, this year, next year, and beyond?

your fanboy shows with comments like this.

Purlesse. If you like to making that comment, you better get yourself a good chair and start copying and pasting that comment when you read this forum. Don't make make me feel so normal, man.

your posting history would say otherwise.

If I am a fanboy, then so bit it. AT LEAST WHATEVER I SAY IS READONABLE OR TRUE. When i am not talking smack to childish lemmings, that is.

Did you ever stop to think that 3 years just may be long enough to weed out the vast majority of machines that will RROD? It seems like the overwhelming majority that get the RROD do so fairly quickly, if the machine has worked for 3 years, I think the odds are pretty good that the machine is part of the at least 70% of 360's that didn't suffer from RROD. clone01

Yes. The weeding out phenomenon helps, but definitely be not enough because the consoles are made from the same factories, using the exact same pieces and methods. More likley than not they still have a higher rate of failure than PS3's the same age. Microsoft can't get away with this. Who knows how many of those old consoles and refurbished ones are still in stores.

no, actually they're not. MS has been experimenting with cooler chipsets, more efficient soldering, and deeper heatsinks for quite some time now. but i'm sure you knew that, since you have been so spot on with your crystal ball, there, Nostradamus.

Yes. I am talking about the 3 yr old+ consoles in 2009. They all were made by the cheap components. Right now, production wise, Microsoft has only made the 360s more reliable than the older ones, but still about 10% less reliable than the PS3. RROD is a very big problem for Microsoft and potential buyers should think about this when they buy the 360, because even the latest models are still less reliable than the PS3 or Wii. Potential buyers should think longer than 3 yrs.

so you're saying that newer components are more reliable. and, according to your logic, most of the old ones have RROD, and have been fixed. so the 360s are weeding out the faulty models. thus, in 2009, this isn't much of a problem. especially if, again using your logic, the newer models are 10% less reliable than the PS3, have been bought in late 2007, early 2008. that means that those newer, more reliable consoles are covered until 2010 and 2011, respectively.

No,no, no, no. Let's say there's a 33% chance of a 360 with RROD in 3 years. After 3 years, there are still 67% left! That 67% is Microsoft's headache, and the unlucky 360 owner's pain. Big pain, too, in the wallet, in pride, in not having a console to play while their friends are enjoying the most technically advanced games on the market. Microsoft's problems are only getting harder going forward.

THAT is Microsoft's problem: addressing the RRoDs after the warranty expires! Losing more money? Talking FUD with enough voodoo to fool the lemmings again? All the while with the PS3 cruising along with better looking games, superior hardware, blu-ray, and no RROD.

look I get what you are saying, but honestly, lets think here, if it becomes a major problem, not gonna act like I know it all, but I doubt they will let it get out of control, I'll agree that it could be a problem if they act like jerks about it, but I doubt they would shoot themselves in the foot like that.

too much competition out there for them to just leave millions of people with their thumbs up their a**

I never say i'll be out of control. I am saying they will have a headache dealing with angry 360 owners with out of warranty RRODs, you know the negative publicity of it all. There's a lot of negativity now when consoles are fixed for free. Will it be worse when the RRODs are no longer free? Some folks at Microsoft are losing sleep over this right now (yes, YOU, I am talking about you!)

when my 360 broke down the second time, I should have mentioned that I bought an elite, got two games free with it and i'm happy about that, so my elite is the main system and the poor dying one is my back up, does it suck that the systems have RROD, yes it does! but we will live man, thats the point, I don't really care what the hell happens from here on in, I love the games on the system, I enjoy playing online with all my friends, nothing can ruin that. will other people deal with it like I have. NO, they might not. but thats not my business and I don't care, why should it bother you so much? you don't own one and bought something else that you feel is better? good! I'm happy for you, let everyone handle their situation how they need to.

now, arent the systems being returned with better cooling systems? I heard yes, I haven't checked mine the second time I got it so I don't know. I don't even have it here, I let my friend borrow it, Tical3g has it, and he's giving it one hell of a workout, and so far so good, so we can't really tell if this year all the systems will be going straight to hell. who knows! and if it happens, I'm sure Microsoft will survive.

LEGEND_C4A

You seem fine with RROD because Microsoft pays for it and you don't mind the headache of dealing with the mess. What happens when Microsoft stop paying for RROD? Alot of people will give Microsoft hell.

RROD doesn't both me. It does a lot of 360 owners though, and Microsoft as well. I talk about it because this is Systems wars. If you don't want to hear the negatives of the 360, stay away from this thread. I am sure, some folks at Microsoft are paying attention to this thread reall good (Yes, YOU, I am talking about you!).

At least most 360 owners didnt waste their money buying a ps3... everyone at this point can agree how bad that console is...dipper145

Everyone?? Who taught how you to think? Microsoft? Do you always think this bad or does that come from believing Microsoft so much?

watch out that you don't fall off the bed when you wake up from your dream, wheather you want to admit it or not the playstations 3 graphics are basically the as 360's, sure it may one or two graphical diffrences but they look alike

Sure they are about the same now...but much longer. You dare bet a 1000 dollars on which console will have the best looking game in 2008, 2009, 2010, etc. I will bet you every year. Chicken.
