Same old, same old...I was under the impression we were starting to move away from this kind of old argument, but apparently not. I've been playing these 15 and 18 rated games for years now (GTA included), and haven't gone out and assaulted, robbed or killed anybody. The vast majority of society is more responsible/sensible than that.
As an aside you can tell when a new GTA game is out because the Daily Mail does an article on how it's a product of Lucifer himself and it spawns violence, and it's basically violence porno, etc. Sure, that story about the guy who was stabbed and robbed of his copy of GTA V was pretty tragic and shocking, but come on people- give us a bit more credit than that.
It's weird to me in calling him Dracula- to me I'll always think of him as Gabrial Belmont, but it looks as though he's embraced his darker side anyways so I'll have to get used to it...
Loved the first one, hoping there will be some awesome boss fights as per the original.
I'm hoping I could get on this beta, but with them saying it features some of the most treacherous areas in the game I may come to regret it...should still be awesome though. :D
@nonknown Perhaps guns come later...and considering how they imply if you get spotted at night you're in big trouble, they probably don't want to encourage the guns blazing approach at night...
I like that they stuck to their guns with the ending- as a non-parent I was 50-50. At first I was pissed off at Joel with being selfish as he essentially screwed over the rest of mankind just so that he could have this girl who isn't even his biological daughter. But then I thought about it again and felt that if I was given the choice to sacrifice someone I loved for the chance they could benefit the Greater Good or save them and doom many others, I would save the one I loved. And besides, the hospital artifacts say they've had other immune people and couldn't get a cure from them so would Ellie be this miracle cure? Doubtful.
And as I've said in SO many other articles, when she says 'okay' at the very end, I don't think she believes him, but is saying 'I don't believe you, but I accept this is how this world has to be.'
Also, loved that they mentioned No Country for Old Men- in that movie they don't have any background music, like in that one scene where he's sitting in his hotel room in the dark waiting for the hitman to break his door down...the suspense man. And TLOU's soundtrack is similar, as it's very sparse and somber compared to a lot of other game soundtracks.
@Dumper1 I know, right? I mean they say there isn't limb dismemberment in multiplayer, but if you execute a guy with the shotgun or shorty his head still gets ripped off. I'd say that was a lot more violent than losing an arm/leg...
