Anyone else unable to access the eshop? I keep getting an error message, but i assume the servers are potentially being hit by people trying to download windwaker. So, am I the only one getting an error message trying to use the eshop?

Before anyone gripes, yes I know pirating is against the rules. This is not for pirating. I have a BC capable Wii and a pile of GC games (I could even prove it with photos if I have to). I would like to try some of them in higher res using the Dolphin emulator, but the small discs don't exactly work in my PC drive. Anyone know where I could just grab some of the iso images for games I have?
Thanks..... I decided not to get it. My inner impulse buyer was feeding that desire and I need to learn to control him better (he wins WAY too often).Â

I, too, prefer to buy a system new unless there is a crazy deal and that's actually the reason I was asking. I'll just wait unti the price of a new one inevitably drops to a reasonable amount for what is offered on the system. I expect there to be a price cut and perhaps a new bundle post-E3 anyway.
There's a guy on my local Craigslist selling a 32gb Wii U for $200 (originally said $250, but said if I grab it today or tomorrow he'd let it go for $200). He says it works perfectly (I would of course try to make sure it read a disk though I only have Wii disks and he stated he's already traded in all his Wii U games, turned on, etc). He states that there are no manuals (no biggie), no registration stuff (bummer to lose the eShop 10% bonus and Club coins, but not huge) and no Nintendo Land (traded it in). Oddly he said it never came with any stands, but perhaps he doesn't know what I mean. Then there's always the risk of it being a Craigslist deal....
Lastly, I'm wishy-washy on picking up the console in general as there really isn't anything I want on it at the moment, but I figured I could always stack some VC stuff on it and there will eventually be stuff I'm interested in and I doubt I'll be able to pick up an equivalent to the deluxe bundle for anywhere near that cheap any time soon. Â
My suspicion is that we won't see a Wii U price drop at E3 even though it desperately needs one. Gamestop just extended its trade in promotion for the Wii towards a Wii U until past the E3 date which I don't suspect they'd do if they though both items would have a further decrease in their value.

So ultimately, $150 off retail for no Nintendo Land (honestly, probably wouldn't have gotten much play time anyway), no packaging or new purchase Club Nintendo bonus, a used console and the potential that comes with buying from a non-returnable source (though I would make an effort to minimize that risk and, as a whole, Nintendo consoles tend to be fairly reliable) and a thrown in copy of House of the Dead 2&3 (I assume the Wii version?). I guess there is always the potential he has bought some VC stuff that could be lingering on it too, I didn't ask, but it doesn't seem that way.
Thanks, that's a lot more response than I expected. I had kinda been leaning towards The Darkness 2 as what I really wanted to play (too much thought over a "free" game) and I think that's the way I'll go. I like to feel overpowered and don't mind a short game (with my backlog, that's probably a good thing). I tend to be more of a "want to see the new things; story, art, characters, etc" type player instead of a challenge seeker.
I'm trying to decide between those 3 games of the 5 from my Bioshock Infinite preorder (already own Spec Ops and Civ 5). I tend to lean away from open world games (Mafia), but really enjoyed Sleeping Dogs recently. Duration (I've heard Darkness is short) doesn't bother me as I'd rather have a short, tight, cohesive experience over padded length. My inclination is to get Bioshock 2 to "complete the set", but my gut says it will go real cheap right before Infinite comes out and the other 2 might be better, less iterative experiences.
I built something similar about 3-4 months ago for that exact same purpose (on a 65" TV, but yeah).
i5 3750k, HD7950, 16gb Corsair RAM, Corsair 650W PSU, Asus P8z77v lx mobo, BD-ROM (using it as a media player as well), 2TB WD HDD and a Samsung 840 SSD and I payed over $1000 less than that cause I built it myself. While it's not ENITRELY up to the PC you're building's specs, I've been playing Crysis 3 on it all afternoon with everything on Very High at 1080p and have yet to see a hitch in the framerate. I'm not sure the incremental increase you're looking at is worth $1000.....
I know, 3D haters gonna hate.... you guys can go ahead and push your back button.
The benefit of having this on my PC is that I can run it through the TriDef 3D software and get a pretty good approximation of what this game would have looked like if programme in 3D since it uses the Direct3D z axis calls to formulate its 3D depth.
And..... it looks fantastic. The pacing and movement of Dead Space is slow enough it doesn't cause any of the eye strain people complain about. The outside, floating in space sections look phenomenal and have great depth which really sells the illusion and immersion. It just feels so much better. And yeah, the tentacles are a really awesome effect in 3D.
This really should be an exemplary 3D game for the consoles to show off. It has lots of upside without most of the frequent detractions because of the nature of the game; pity EA and Visceral didn't see that.
Ok, that's kinda what I figured but wanted to check. Thanks guys
Forgive me, I've been at work for the past 30hrs so my brain is not functioning properly, but I wanted to double check something. I just grabbed a new large HDD mostly to transfer my ever-growing Steam library to. Is there any reason I can't just cut and paste the whole Steam folder and all the games installed therein over to this new drive? Or should I just reinstall them all with the new drive as the destination?
Thanks
