@kosc88: yeah . but can people brand a product with the name APPLE in it, without repercussions from the company Apple? I've never ever seen a product outside of the fruit apples, with the name Apple. So it's difficult to know what Apple would do. I think they would destroy the company that used the word Apple. I have however seen a law suit form Bestheda because another company used the word "Scrolls".

lets look at this phrase for 1 second "A registered trademark does not prohibit from using the word 'Cyberpunk' if it's not used in the course of business (e.g. branding, advertising etc.)".... so if you cant use the word in Business with Branding or advertising etc , how could you use the word in your own product and advertise it in the future? If you were to use the word Cyberpunk in your title? Sounds like a recipe for future law suits.

Also, just for reference, we have SEEN constant suing before from major companies in this situation, when the product has nothing to do with their own product. Bestheda comes to mind. Bestheda has tried to take the Minecraft owner to court with a product named scrolls, because it literally just had the word SCROLLS in it (The Elder Scrolls) lol. So major production companies DO try and sue, even if the content has nothing to do with the product in question. Just the word.

It's interesting how this practice doesnt apply to sampling people's music, from rappers and hip hop artists. They rip off musicians and samples daily, but get away with it.

@JustinGoSka: There's past court cases that have been opened, that companies have tried to sue on though. companies like Bestheda have tried sueing people for using words in their video games, like Scrolls. I dont think they won, thank GOD, but they tried to sue over the name Scrolls and it still went to court. You shouldn't even be able to even try and trademark a word.

Farcry 4 was fine, well it was smooth on PC anyway, provided you have the right hardware. Spore was interesting, just a bit flavourless, but what it was trying to do was really interesting and The Sims 2, easily the best sims ever made. I think. I never played ASS CREED 3. Im a bit over ASS Creed by the sheer number of games that come out with the name ASS Creed. I've decided Im only ever going to play an ASS Creed with a number after it. Its no longer about the story in ASS CREED, its about location. "Lets have an ass creed in India or colombia or ancient Japan or China or Rome, yeah lets do ASS Creed in CHINA!!!!

The story is like an after thought now.

theyve done this stupid sht with the new Star Wars movies, with Ghostbusters. I dont know what Hollywood and Sony are fckin thinking, doing these things. Include the lead actors in little Gimic roles, to appease nostalgia or its to bury the past, if thats the case, then its just flat out insulting (i reckon thats the only reason the producers or shareholders suggest this stupid sht, Nostalgia, big money in nostalgia) fck these big company's and their artistically illiterate shareholders, that are ruining art. Thank god the money men respect Martin Scorcese enough to leave him the hell alone, with his products.

not cool, you shouldnt be able to trademark words, period. Big fan of CDProject, bu tthis is a dickmove. Same with Bestheda when they tried to trademark Scrolls and was trying to sue the Mindcraft creator. The courts should not allow this, for any company. They have a trademark its called "Cyberpunk 2077, with the "2077" at the end of it. As entire Title, since I dont THINK (well actually, maybe in the year 2077, lol, we might see a real product produced that has Cyberpunk 2077 at the end of the name)

@gotrekfabian: All of the knock offs are terrible. Even the Logitech knock offs of the Xbox and PS controllers for PC, are terrible. Get the real thing, for sure and the real thing thankfully can be used on a PC. If its cheaper than the originals, there's a reason for it, its probably sht.

and THIS....................is what people want in today's Call Of Duty.................an 80's zombie B grade horror movie..........

What id love to see, is this much effort put into the Modern Warfare 3's Spec Ops mode. That was my favourite side mode outside of the campaign and MP, in all the COD's.
